The Oryx Lounge serves Terminal A. Airside - after Security Checks and Passport Control, the Lounge is located on the 1st Floor, opposite Costa Coffee. The Lounge is also accessible to passengers traveling through Terminal B but will need to allow sufficient time to go through Immigration and reach departure gate.

important information

Please note due to relocation of Doha International Airport (DOH), the Oryx Lounge located in Terminal A will close effective 27MAY14. A new facility Al Maha Transit Lounge will open in the new Hamad International Airport (HIA) and be available for Passengers at the end of AUG14. There will be no temporary Lounge facilities available between this period.

Friendly staff at the check in. There are plenty of departure boards on show within the lounge. The lounge was very clean and tidy and chairs comfortable. I would use again.

After an 11 hour flight from Perth WA it was so nice to be able to have a shower and change our clothes, have something to eat and sit in comfort, peace and quiet to wait for the next leg of our journey. Well worth the $30 we paid for access.

Overall, we enjoy passing the time in the Oryx lounge and feel it is a good value. The food variety could be better and contain richer items.

to expensive for what you get - no seat Reservation - we had to wait until we got a place even if we booked it month ago. Aircondition was too cold. Food is Money not worth

We were really glad we booked the Oryx Lounge for just a 3 hour stopover - however it is essential to book...they are very busy and it seems anyone can reserve a visit - BUT if they are full you will be turned away. It was bigger and busier than i expected with the usual ignorant and rude people on mobiles and talking loudly - but then it is not meant to be the first class or business class lounge - so on the whole i would always book there instead of having to sit it out in the public airport waiting areas. BYO everything for a shower - from what i saw there is nothing provided except liquid soap...food and drinks are plentiful but i would have wanted to know how long the food had been sitting out for...little chicken sandwiches and so on all looked very appealing but i wouldn't take the chance if they are not direct from a fridge...i am a bit neurotic about those things...there were cakes and biscuits that looked fine!

It was a quiet place to relax between flights and freshen up with a shower. However, £22 was too much to pay for the privilege as the food was dull and stodgy and there were no reclining chairs available.

We came to the lounge at 6 in the morning. The buffet was quite empty, featuring some sweeties, few fruits and some beverage. It was clearly not enough. The place was very clean, especially bathrooms. Staff was friendly.

Chairs not the most comfortable and food only average. Cleaners constantly working Which is good but also annoying when seeking peace and quite Overall better than sitting in Doha airport for the 4 hours transfer I had - was worth it for the shower alone

I went to the lounge alone and found has a problem how to keep my table when I go to take the drink and food or go to toilet. It would be perfect if there is any sign or stand can put on the table to let the other people alert that table has been occupied.

The lounge was clean and the food was tasty and fresh. The toilet facilities were good and it will be great when the shower facilities are available. Wish there had been recliners to lie back or put your feet up.On the whole agreat place to get away from the crowd!
