considering this is such a big hotel, the room maintenance was fantastic, you always see something, a cracked tile or other small thing, but everything was great. The fixtures and fittings were of a high standard, amazing value for money

Hotel rooms poor condition but relatively cheap. Only 3 miles from airport but transfers only provided at set times every 1-2 hours. For cost of taxi (nearly £10 each way) could stay at a nicer hotel.

We were very dissapointed about the transfer times to the airport. taking approx a hour to arrive at terminal one. Which meant us getting up at 3am to arrive at 4.30am. Getting up at that time we could have travelled from home! The hotel is 15 min from the airport and that is why I chose it. The close proximity of the hotel to the airport is completley negated by the slow and leborious schedule of the hotels bus service. We ended up paying for a taxi to make things better for us. I would not use the hotel again because of the slow transfer time scale. Other hotels I have stayed at run a 30 min transfer which is acceptable. a one hour transfer is not when the hotel is so close.

Menu on evening of our stay had mashed potatoes on 1 selection but the mash could not be transposed to any other selections. We walked out in disgust.

after travelling with my 2 year old to a hotel I booked specifically close to the airport, I arrived at 7.30pm to be told there was no water and we had to go to a central manchester hotel.this was not convenient due to a very early flight and a 2 year old who was already tired which I explained.the hotel staff were extremely unhelpful and had no sympathy for my situation.i therefore decided to ask for a refund and check into Bewleys at manchester airport who by complete contrast were friendly, helpful and appreciative ofmy circumstances.

Bathroom was rather scruffy, needed a good cleaning. Bedroom door was part open when we reached the room, was very difficult to shut. Card wouldn't work to open door on outward journey, had to go back to reception 4 times before it was resolved.

we were very lucky when we got home from holidays our car was okay as there was broken glass all over the car park which was a concern. The hotel was satisfactory for a one night stay, but would'nt got back. The coach that takes you to the airport and back only ran a certain times and when you have just come of a 10 hour flight the last thing you want to do is wait on a bus for 40 mins so we ended up etting a taxi which cost us £10. No would not go back to the hotel again and park.

The Drivers Attitude was a disgrace, he should not be doing the job. Dropped off for terminal 1/3 we then had to walk to Terminal 2 with all our luggage, driver said he didn't do Terminal 2. Never again will we use this apalling service.

The hotel offers basic accomodation however if all you require is a clean room close to the airport then this hotel offers good value for money. The food in the reastaurant and the customer service were very good.

When we arrived we were unable to get into our room, having approached the reception 4 times they realised we had been given the wrong room number!! Once finally in the correct room we found an old magazine under the bed and dried up contact lenses... nice! The room was freezing as the radiator did not work. The old aluminium windows rattled and didn't help to keep any noise out. We found the transfer service unacceptable at one pick up an hour and opted for a taxi. Overall extremeley dissatisfied with the hotel and would certainly not recommend.

The coach transfer is only once per hour Staff failed to book us on the coach when we arrived but did provide a taxi to cover the muck up. Had to catch another taxi on the way back as not prepared to wait 1 hr in zero degrees

The night was very good value for the money, being able to park the car there and forget about it was a good start to the holiday. The courtesy bus to the airport was prompt and got us there in plenty of time, but we felt one every half an hour coming back would have been ideal. We missed it by 5 mins, as ourluggage took a long time and we had to get a cab which cost £11.If it had been every 30 mins, we would have waited for the next one.

Easy to find, brilliantly located for major ring roads etc, we arrived late afternoon checked in and then tootled off to the Trafford Centre which is literally less than 10 minutes drive away. The hotel common areas eg: stair wells etc are quite worn and dated but the room was nicely refurbished with everything you could need for an overnight stay - clean and funtional. Reception service was polite and helpful and the coach transfer to and from the airport was with military accuracy - so no worrying that you will miss your flight. All-in-all value for money and we will certainly use the Britannia again - Thank You.

Directions to hotel from the website was not good. We were disappointed in the airport shuttle service. Whilst this was 24 hours there was only a coach every hour and sometimes every 90 minutes. Whilst we had booked for a shuttle, for the following morning, when we arrived this hadn't been noted on the sheet. This shuttle was then full. However, the hotel did provide a taxi at no cost. When we returned we had just missed the shuttle and didn't fancy the 90-minute wait so got a taxi back to the hotel instead, at a cost of £10. Most of the parking at the hotel is not under cover. After 13 days in below freezing temperatures the car battery was flat. The hotel did loan us a battery booster but this didn't help and we had to call the AA to get us on our way.
