Highwayman Parking is the only independent car park serving Cardiff Airport. Come early and enjoy some refreshments at the adjacent Highwayman Inn public house.

arrival

Upon arrival, please park your vehicle in the furthest available bay directly in front of you, without entering the main gates. Report to reception and present your confirmation or quote your reference number. Please allow at least 30 minutes for check-in and transfer to Cardiff Airport.

departure

Full details of the returns procedure will be given upon checking in at the car park.

Highwayman operates transfers to Cardiff Airport that take approximately 7 minutes and run every 15 minutes.

Car park staff are on hand to assist with the requirements of disabled customers. Car park and transfer buses have disabled facilities.

Highwayman Parking guarantee that vehicles will not be moved from their car parking compound at any time. They request that you submit a note of the vehicle mileage when checking-in.

Luggage can be securely locked away in a safe area while you are eating at the pub either before catching the transfer bus to the airport, or on your return to the Highwayman car park.

From the M4:

  • Exit at Junction 33 (signposted Cardiff West, Barry, Penarth, Cardiff Airport & A4232).
  • Join the A4232 and continue for 3.3 miles.
  • Leave the A4232 at the Culverhouse Cross interchange.
  • At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the 3rd exit (signposted A4050, Wenvoe, Cardiff Airport & Barry).
  • Continue on the A4050 for 3 miles, travelling straight across five roundabouts.
  • At the sixth roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4050 (signed Cardiff Airport), heading towards St. Athan and Llantwit Major.
  • Continue straight over four roundabouts, joining the B4265 (signposted Llantwit Major).
  • Take the first left (signposted 'Highwayman Inn').
  • Do not turn left up the lane; keep right, into the village of Fonmon.
  • Drive through the village of Fonmon, past the duck pond, and turn left onto Port Road.
  • Follow the road for 3/4 mile and the car park is on the left-hand side, just past the Highwayman Inn.

An insight into the workings of Highwayman Parking, straight from the horse's mouth.

1. Can you tell us a little bit about your business?

Gaynor Group purchased the Highwayman Inn and Carpark in the year 2000. The site has since been redeveloped providing a 1st class car parking service and a public house. Vast numbers of our customers enjoy the use of the pub for refreshment to avoid costly prices at the airport.

2. In one sentence, how would you describe your business?

A privately owned business with its emphasis on its customer and their complete satisfaction.

3. What makes you different from other parking companies?

The fact that the business owner works in the day to day running and is front of house.

4. Describe the customer facilities, security and services you offer

Customer Facilities - Fully air conditioned offices, customer toilets, water cooler, TV
Security - Floodlighting, CCTV, 24 hr manned security, 8ft fencing, Police Gold Award for security.
Services - Free bus service to the airport, Valets, booking for the Cardiff Airport lounge.

5. What does the gosimply award mean to you?

6. What's the most interesting or exotic car that's been parked?

An Old Bristol.
