Please bring your printed booking confirmation to the car park. Drive up to the entry barrier, wait 10 seconds while your number plate is read, then a ticket will be issued showing your booking reference and the barrier will lift automatically. If the barrier does not lift, please press the button for a ticket. Park your vehicle and board the transfer bus for the airport.
If you experience any difficulties on arrival, please press the call button for assistance. It may help if you have your booking confirmation to hand.
Departure Procedure
Upon your return to the parking compound, drive your vehicle up to the exit barrier and insert the ticket that was issued when you entered the car park. The barrier will open and you may proceed to exit the car park.
If you have any difficulties, or if you had to press the button for a ticket upon entering, please present your booking confirmation and entry ticket to a parking attendant, who will assist in your exit.

All worked well except for the automatic number plate recognition on arrival. However when retrieving the vehicle the instruction to cotact the custome help worked efficiently and there was no delay on exiting from the long stay car park. RG Akhurst
number plate recognition a good idea, in and out of carpark very quick.
It was simple to book on-line and I got excellent directions to the airport. When I got there I just followed the straight forward signs and drove through to the Long Stay section. The gate opened, just like I was informed it would and I parked without difficulty. Within minutes a bus had arrived very near to where I'd parked and I got on and was delivered to the door of the departure area of the airport. It was just as trouble-free to do the process in reverse- when I returned from my holiday.I'll have no hesitation doing it again.
Booked online. Website easy to navigate. Everything worked as promised. Friendly & helpful coach drivers.Good value & close to terminal.
We had hardly any waiting at all for the transfer coach and also the distance to the terminal is short. This means that it was not stressfull at all.
Although delayed by volcanic ash the Long Stay Car Park were helpful and very efficient
We booked online and had paid for three days but were a whole day late returning owing to a flight cancellation. We expected to have to pay the extra but on speaking to the car park staff we were not charged as the delay was beyond our control so we were pleased with that kind of curtesy. Thanks.
Could not book for a single day as would only allow booking for 2 days at 3 days notice!! Are pre-booked allowed to use the parking halfway down the road before you gate to Long Term Parking -- does not really make this clear. Best thing is that from dropping car to terminal is 5 mins & coming out of Immigration control to car is usually less than 5 mins - EXCELLENT!!
The usual pre-flight 'will-we-get-there-on-time' anxiety was dispelled immediately on arrival at Southampton airport. The Long-Stay parking area was prominently signposted - so it was impossible to take a wrong turn. A bonus: it was much closer to the airport than similar car parks I've used at, for example, Bristol. Also, the buses appear to run non-stop, so there was no waiting in the cold. We were on the bus literally within a minute of parking - and checking in our bags 5 mins later. Time for a coffee. Bliss.
Smooth and easy to get to the car park, find a space and get on the bus which ran very frequently. Only hiccup was that the machine didn't recognise our booking when we tried to leave but the staff resolved the issue immediately.
My experience would have been entirely satisfactory but for the fact that the automatic plate recognition system did not appear to be working on entry and thus, with no parking staff present at all, my exit was hampered by the need to call for help at the barrier and prove my pre-payment before I was allowed to leave.
Have used this car park many times and although I have had only a few problems the staff are usually very helpful. The only issue is that is one of the most expensive car park at UK airports
We had trouble getting out of the car park on departure as the ticket machine didn't register our booking therefore delaying us in getting home. The help facility worked and the attendant was adequate, however this shouldn't happen as it was a pre-booking.
insufficient information where to go and park or how to procede with prepaid ticket as this was not clear from the booking information provided. Why not provide (via email) clear instructions and map to customersat the booking stage?. I spent 10 mins on the telephone/parking gate intercom to the operator who searched for my booking. He then informed what to do.
Easy to park and good transfer service. Did not see any staff only the driver so difficult to rate this.
Overall trip experience spoilt by flights to & from Southampton having to divert to other airprts enroute to re-fuel. Not your responsibility but will not used Southampton again.
First time using Southampton Airport and Pink Elephant Parking. Everything went very smoothly and even though the exit barrier machine wasn't working properly, a member of staff was there operating the machine so there was no delay in leaving.
I saw no staff so not really possible to comment on Customer Service. At 8.30am I got what was probably one of the last spaces and this was on a rough gravel surface, making it difficult to wheel luggage to the tarmac area to catch the coach. If I could not have parked I couldn't see any staff or any means of contacting anyone for assistance. I prepaid and didn't find the instructions of what to do very visible. If I had followed Simply Parking instructions on return to Southampton I would have gone to the terminal first to get an exit ticket, luckily I spotted a small notice about what to do on the bus shelter. Thankfully our parking experience went reasonably smoothly however it could given different circumstances been a disaster.
First time of using this facility, we had concerns regarding transfers and vehicle security. We would now be quite happy to use Pink Elephant Parking again, as the service and security provided would give us peace of mind whilst abroad.
The cash office at Southampton is quite a bit away from the pick up point for the car park. On a cold night it was not a pleasant walk there and back, plus the fact that the person on duty did not seem to know what to do, and was not particularly helpful took the edge of the experience.
