Airside - proceed through the Security Point at Level 2, turn left and pass the Duty Free Shops. Take the escalator next to 'Dixons' down one level and the Lounge is located on the right.

The Cheviot lounge has a smart/casual dress code (no baseball caps, shorts or football shirts) and expects suitable behaviour. Flight information is only available upon request and it is the responsibility of guests to ensure they leave in time to catch their flights. Ticketed passengers only are allowed access to the lounge facilities.

However, there are no small cans of soft drinks available and the snack selection is very poor. i.e. no packets of crisps, no individual packets of biscuits - A bacon bun was available but this was barely warm. The old executive lounge was much better food and drink wise. However, I use this facility at least three times a year and I don't expect to see any changes to the food and drink!

The room is very clean & tidy, great service & plenty of drinks to choose from. The food however you don't have much to choose from and there's not enough tv's for people to watch. You can upgrade but it's almost double the price they could do with just adding a little on to the lower end price and put pizza,pies on ect not sure if I would use it again unless there was more choice with the food but everything else was great as was being able to go shopping back upstairs in the duty free and being able to return to relax.

It was lovely to get some snacks and drinks in the lounge before our flight and our family felt welcomed into the lounge by the staff. The breakfast sandwiches are very nice as well as the lovely scones with jam and cream! Overall the lounge was a brilliant experience for us all to relax before our flight and start our holiday early with a bit of extra luxury in the lounge

Not as nice as the old Cheviot lounge. No windows which I thought made for a dull atmosphere. The snacks and drinks seemed to be dotted around and you had to be served your drinks whereas before it was self service.

Not a patch on the old lounge! No view, not in a convenient location. Like being in a canteen, waiting to be served by sullen staff. Definitely not good value for the money. Always used the old lounge, will not be back to this one!

Comfortable but lacking in choice. Only one choice of bottled lager and none on draft. Not much snack choice either. Nuts, one type of crisp, crackers and cheese. There was however warm tomato soup which was very nice.

My experience was generally positive. I'm not the most comfortable flyer so anything to relieve the tension massively helps. The lounge is very comfortable and the drinks availabilty is great. The customer service was generally great. Only minor negative feedback is that often, the service area wasn't manned and the hot food choice was limited (though it was nice). However, at 8am the lounge was not busy so it was not hard to see why the service was toned down a little.

Didn't seem to be enough staff to cope, even though they appear to work hard. No toilet paper in ladies toilets on the 2 occasions I visited, even after asking staff, they were apologetic. Having drinks served to you and having to stand in a queue is not my ideas of a good lounge experience, also running out of cheese , taking nuts and biscuits from unsealed bags. I have visited Newcastle lounge on many occasions over the last 9 years and it has been great, unfortunately since changing I may not visit again unless it improves. Bristol completely the opposite to Newcastle in every way. Please pass on my review in the hope that with the new refurbished lounge they can delivered good service and standards as in the old lounge.
