Its about time NCP changed the system of getting out of the car park.Bristol Airport long stay is much better as you dont have to remember to take a copy of your invoice OR queue up to get your ticket authenticated -instead you proceed to the car park exit barrier and insert the credit card you originally paid with. The card is recognised and the barrier opens.Simple -and no surly staff at the authentification desk .
Expensive for 2 days and 3 hours parking, but the longer you stay the cheaper it is!! Having said that I booked my parking on line, my sister paid on leaving and her parking cost £12.00 more than mine.
Reasonably easy process to book. It helps to know the whereabouts and layout of the carparks.
Easy to get too, just parked the car and returned 10 days later and there it was just where I had left it.
From the booking online, parking, transfer and procedure when returning I found it all very straightforward and easy. I will definately use this service again.
Rush to catch the plane internet booking easy and showed our reciept as we walked out arrivals, recieved ticket and sweet home alabama
Can sometimes be difficult to find a space especially at busy times, but easy to get to and easy to get across to terminal building either on foot or by bus. Staff were a little miserable upon our return but it was a Monday morning and this was the first time we had experienced this at Cardiff. Good value for money when you consider what a return taxi would cost.
Prebooked parking space, drove around car park three times, no space available, had to park beyond parking area on rough ground outside the lighting area with two pensioners age 78 and 86. On return, misarable attendant at airport. Left my wife, my mother and father-in-law in the disabled shelter only to find no access to that area from within the airport. I had to leave the airport, drive approx. one and a half miles out to a aroundabout and one mile back to the airport to collect them. This at 5am in the rain did our parants no good.
Easy to use, clear instructions. Close to terminal, all good
Parking facilities were excellent but as I stated above a little to far too walk for my disabled passenger after a late flight..
Not that cheap for 4 days parking.Handy if you can get parked on the main carpark but a bit of a trek if your in the overspill although there is a shuttle bus.
Always enjoy parking at Cardiff as it so convenient to the terminal. Online booking was easy. Great.
We got a bit lost getting to the carpark because it wasn't signposted as the website had stated and we ended up on the airport drop off site, but were redirected by a helpful staff member (no NCP signs as we had believed). We found spaces right at the bottom of the furthest carpark which was about 8 minutes walk to the airport, slightly uphill. There was a shuttle bus circling around but you had to walk to the top of the carpark to get it. Not a problem for me but possibly could be for an elderly person dragging suitcases. All in all, good value for the money spent, and i felt that my car was safe there.
No obvious directions .walking surface not good .Long walk with luggage to air terminal. Pavement blocked off on way back. Would have been a nightmare ifn it had been raining .Neither convenient nor easily accessible.
Met my needs, although finding a space in the car park near the terminal is almost impossible at this time of year. Also there is a distinct lack of pricing competition between the alternatives on offer. All about the same.
THE ONLY CAVEATS ABOUT THIS SYSTEM ARE: DON'T LOSE YOUR CARPARK TICKET while you are away Make a note of your parking area on your ticket Understand thta although it is on airport parking you can have a 5 - 8 minute walk to your car if you are in the ovcerspill carpark or you need to wait for the bus - fine if you are fit and able which thankfully we are.
A bit vague on which long Stay Car Park you would be using. We found out that it was No 1.No mention on the Invoice we had.Didnt help my stressful wife at the time, who was navigating! Otherwise parking was OK,take the ticket from the ticket machine, you take that ticket to the office in the airport building for a new ticket after your holiday.you must have the invoice with the reference number on.Regarding Transport to the Airport from the car park, We were lucky and had a bus to the airport, not so lucky on return.Security, well there is a barrier, not sure if there are any security patrols, didnt see any.No cameras visible.
Very hard to find a space after a very confusing entrance procedure - the GPS postal code interpretation did not take me to the car park entrance. Cars were parked anywhere! 4WD's were parked on angled grass verges due to lack of spaces. No transfer facilities available so I ended up walking quite a distance with luggage in the rain. But for £25 for a week it was a reasonable charge
Slightly confusing in that my confirmation stated car park as NCP Long Stay when on arrival at airport, directions were given for NCP 1 or NCP 2 so we weren't sure which we were supposed to head for. Luckily it was dry but if it had of been cold and wet it is a bit of a hike to the airport and we didn't see any coaches during our trips to/from the car park/terminal. The office is now situated in the terminal building so there are no staff available at the car park. Reasonable charge of £5 per day to park.
Well signposted. No problems parking and a short walk to the terminal made the experience painless. Would certainly use again and recommend to others.
