Arrival Procedure
This car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, so it is essential you enter the correct vehicle registration when making your booking. We also recommend that you bring a printout of your booking confirmation.
Upon arrival, drive up to the entry barrier, where your car registration will be read and a ticket automatically issued to you showing your registration and booking reference. You may then park in any available space. Keep your ticket safe, as you will need it upon your return.

Departure Procedure
If your ticket shows your registration and booking reference, simply drive to the barrier and insert your ticket to leave.
If you had to press the button for a ticket upon entering the car park, press the intercom button for assistance and quote your booking reference number.

Courtesy transfers run every 10-15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and take approximately 6 minutes.

Please state you have parked in the short stay car park when you present your entry ticket and booking confirmation to the Airport Short Term Information desk (located in the Short Stay car park) on your return.
Vehicle restrictions
No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted, even if multiple spaces are booked. There are no height restrictions.

- Leave the M1 at Junction 24 and follow signs towards the airport.
- Take the A453 for approximately 1/2 mile.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
- Leave the M1 at Junction 23a and follow signs to the airport.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
- Follow the A50 to Junction 24, then follow signs to the airport.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
From the South:
From the West:
**Turn left at the first roundabout, following the road until the next roundabout. Proceed straight ahead until you reach a third roundabout. Turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again. At the fifth roundabout, turn right into Car Park 6.

On returning we put the ticket in and it told us we owed 50 odd pounds. We were obviously let out once we contacted the help line, but it is not what you want hanging about in the cold when you want to get home
Car Park 6 at East Midlands Airport. We only had to wait about 2 minutes for the bus to arrive to drop us at the airport, then on the way back one arrived as soon as we reached the bus stop. Nice friendly drivers on both trips.
Car Park 6 is about 1.5 miles from departure terminal; a little disconcerted by lack of people at parking area, particularly as I had pre-booked, but shuttle driver set my mind at ease, as did staff at info desk in arrivals. V speedy return in shuttle bus - I was the only passenger!
I would definately use this service again. Booked online no problem, drove to airport and parked in the carpark really close to the bus stop. The bus was there as soon as we took our luggage out of the car. Bus took us straight to the airport departures terminal in a matter of minutes. On arriving back from our holiday the bus was waiting outside the terminal and took us straight back to the carpark. There was no fuss or waiting around for taxi's and much better value for money.
Insanely expensive, but no public transport available at the time of my return to the airport.
car park easy to find .not waiting long for the transfer ,departing and arriving.had to push button on exit for assistance quote reference number to get out. will use again.
i was extremely pleased with the security in the car park where my car was and i will definitely be using your car park again when i next travel from east midlands airport.
we found the car park very acessable with the bus service provided no problems at all.
A very efficient service with frequent transfers to the terminal- no waiting in either direction. The number plate identification system did not register my booking reference but the intercom contact with the office worked very efficiently on departure andn caused no delay.
everything was good, except for not being able to get off the car park. everyone had trouble.
We found the parking at car park 6 very easily and parked close to the bus stop. Just as we took the case from the boot the bus appeared and within a minute we were aboard and being whisked to the terminal. On returning to the airport excactly the same coming out of the terminal doors the bus for parking 6 was there waiting for us, excellent service and will be using gosimply again soon. thanks guys
Parking and transfer to the airpoprt on arrival was good and easy. On returning though the signage to the waiting area for the coach to take us back to our car was poor. We had to move two or three times prior to the arrival of the bus and when it did there was confusion as to whether it was the right one. While we were able to get out of the car park easily using the code number we had been given, travellers in front of us had clearly not retained the details they needed and we were kept waiting a long time at the back of a long queue while they got themsleves sorted out. It took about 10 minutes to get through the barrier.
As a blue badge holder, I was able to use the short stay car park 1 option. A very good and convenient option Would be delighted to use them again
Because so many people had been moved from their originally allocated Car Park (including myself), the queue and subsequent delay to exit bordered on unacceptable. Eventually a member of staff appeared and processed each driver manually. Staff good-system bad.
Easy to book on-line. No problems at all. Didn't actually communicate with any staff at all except the bus drivers who transferred us from and to the airport. They were very pleasant and helpful individuals.
We use this facility regularly and have always been pleased with the efficiency of the system. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Well signed all straight forward and simple. Just turned up, found a place and parked up. Frequent buses to the terminal building. Same on way back except in reverse.
