Arrival Procedure
This car park has an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, so it is essential to enter the correct vehicle registration when making your booking.
Upon arrival at the car park, pull up to the entry machine at the barrier and your number plate will be automatically scanned. Take the ticket that is issued and keep it safe, as you will need it upon your return.
If a ticket is not automatically issued, please press the 'Assistance' button and explain to the attendant that your vehicle was not recognised. You will need to confirm your booking details, including your car registration, and a ticket will then be issued. We recommend taking a copy of your printed booking confirmation in case this happens, as you will need it when you return.
Departure Procedure
Collect your vehicle and drive to the exit barrier. Insert the ticket you were issued upon entry and the barrier will raise automatically.
If the barrier does not raise, press the intercom button and quote your booking reference.
Do not insert your credit or debit card into the barrier or you will be charged again for your parking.
Transfers
Courtesy transfers run every 10-15 minutes, 24 hours a day, and take approximately 6 minutes.

Blue badge holders may pre-book this long stay product and park in the short stay car park (Car Park 1) where dedicated spaces are available. Please state you have parked in the short stay car park when you present your entry ticket and booking confirmation to the Airport Short Term Information desk (located in the Short Stay car park) on your return.
Vehicle restrictions
No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted, even if multiple spaces are booked. There are no height restrictions.

really disappointed with bus driver who stopped at the bus stop to pick up three bmi baby staff, as we got on the bus he said sorry staff only,they laughed and pulled of. we then had to wait 20 mins for another bus.As my 8 yr old daughter said 'he's not very friendly man is he'
Positive: reasonable prices. Short transfer time by bus. Room for improvement: clearer signposting at first roundabout with car park numbers; there is very little room for luggage on the buses, compared to other airports; the driver misdirected us as to where to go to get the bus back on landing; when we put in our pre-pad ticket to exit, the system did not recognise any booking and requested payment of £70.
Only used the facility twice but both good experiences-bus drivers very pleasant on both occasions I live 40 mins from Luton Airport but the drive to East Midlands airport worth the effort
The car park is about 5 mins or so away from the terminal and reasonably sign posted. Once at the entrance, I expected the number recognition to automatically lift the barrier (having pre-paid). This did not happen and I had to take a ticket. I spoke with the polite attendendent via the intercom and he requested that we come back after our holiday and then call again with our pre-paid reference. This we did and all went smoothly. All thinks considered, I would recommend this car park to any traveller.
All aspects were efficient and as you would expect, staff were helpful even in the very early hours of the morning.
arrived at airport 6 went to a pick up point and only waited a couple of minutes for the transfer bus to take us to the airport.when we got home at 2.30 am we came out of the airport when a bus driver asked us where we wanted to be he told us where to go.would use again no problems whatsoever
Straight foward and easy! Never been before but it was simple and safe with shuttle buses running all the time. Would definately use it again.
Car Park 6, although a little way from the terminal, is well sign posted and easy to find. It is secure, and is well served by transfer buses that are regular and quick. On my arrival back from my holiday destination, I was travelling home within 30 minutes of leaving the arrivals area...

Found car park 6 easily. The number plate recognition worked as intended for the outward journey. The way the car park spaces are arranged gave me a greater than expected reassurance against my car being damaged by adjoining car doors. The number plate recognition process did not allow me straight out of the car park on the return trip, probably because I didn't expect to be a bit earlier exiting the car park park than I had stated!! The subsequent call I put through to get the barrier raised was dealt with politely and efficiently. It was a bit of a struggle, due to the number of cases already in situ, to get our cases onto/under the holding area on the bus (both inward and outward journeys). Otherwise the overall the service was excellent. Many thanks.

Excellent service, good value for money, would try for car park 1 next time as car park 6 quite a trek!! would defo use again.
On returning we put the ticket in and it told us we owed 50 odd pounds. We were obviously let out once we contacted the help line, but it is not what you want hanging about in the cold when you want to get home
Car Park 6 at East Midlands Airport. We only had to wait about 2 minutes for the bus to arrive to drop us at the airport, then on the way back one arrived as soon as we reached the bus stop. Nice friendly drivers on both trips.
Car Park 6 is about 1.5 miles from departure terminal; a little disconcerted by lack of people at parking area, particularly as I had pre-booked, but shuttle driver set my mind at ease, as did staff at info desk in arrivals. V speedy return in shuttle bus - I was the only passenger!
I would definately use this service again. Booked online no problem, drove to airport and parked in the carpark really close to the bus stop. The bus was there as soon as we took our luggage out of the car. Bus took us straight to the airport departures terminal in a matter of minutes. On arriving back from our holiday the bus was waiting outside the terminal and took us straight back to the carpark. There was no fuss or waiting around for taxi's and much better value for money.
Insanely expensive, but no public transport available at the time of my return to the airport.
car park easy to find .not waiting long for the transfer ,departing and arriving.had to push button on exit for assistance quote reference number to get out. will use again.

- Leave the M1 at Junction 24 and follow signs towards the airport.
- Take the A453 for approximately 1/2 mile.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
- From the South:
- Leave the M1 at Junction 23a and follow signs to the airport.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
- From the West:
- Follow the A50 to Junction 24, then follow signs to the airport.
- Turn right into the airport main entrance and follow the directions below **.
**Turn left at the first roundabout, following the road until the next roundabout. Proceed straight ahead until you reach a third roundabout. Turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again. At the fifth roundabout, turn right into Car Park 6.
