Long Stay Parking

The parking is easy to use and up to a 5 minute walk away from the terminal. The only problem is a lack of trolleys outside the terminal in the car-park area. My advice is, if you are travelling with someone else, drop your bags as near to the terminal entrance as possible and then go and find a space to park your car. Also, don't forget to get your ticket validated at the information desk before you go back to your car.

London City Airport is perhaps the most famous example of the modern 'city airport'. After opening in 1987, the airport has gradually grown in both service and popularity, much of which could be attributed to its multiple and varied transport links to central London. Currently the airport handles more than half a million passengers every year, the majority being regional commercial flights, with rare visits by military aircraft.

Facilities at London City Airport include one departure lounge which is of business standard, a few shops, 3 ATMs and 3 Bureaux de Changes. The airport mainly caters for business travellers so there are no children's facilities available at the terminal. For airport parking at London City, there is 1 short/long stay car park that provides space for up to 750 cars (pre-booking is recommended as spaces fill up quickly). Those wishing to eat before their flight have a choice of three restaurants: the Meridian Line restaurant, Bar Trattoria and the Coffee Corner Wine & Tapas Bar.

It is 10 miles from the West End, 6 miles from the City Center, and only 3 miles from Canary Wharf (London's the financial centre).
