Erskine Bridge Hotel reviews

"Hotel was ok for the price--main drawbacks were 1) the very muddy field for long-stay parking with no security. I was almost bogged down when we returned and got the car out only with difficulty and covered in mud. 2)The signage to find the hotel is poor. We needed satnav and even then it wasn't easy. But it beats driving through Glasgow in the rush-hour with a plane to catch."

"Room was shared by three persons although very clean and welcoming the spare bed was a sofa and very uncomfortable. After travelling for most of the day and did not arrive until 9.00pm we had to start pulling out beds and putting duvet covers onto duvets and pillowcases onto pillows."
Holiday Inn reviews

"All areas were dull and lacking in atmosphere. Furnishings outdated and hotel looked as though it was ready for closure. Breakfast had been sitting for ages and dried up. Little service. Cleanliness in shower facility left much to be desired. As we have stayed in other Holiday Inns nationwide and abroad, including Holiday Inn Express, this has been the poorest. For foreing visitors making Glasgow their gateway to the UK, this is a poor introduction to Scotland."

"Bar prices a bit extortionate. Otherwise no salient cost issue. Booking ourselves in was very efficient and friendly. Booking the car was a negative memorable experience with a long wait until the mini-bus driver returned from the airport. Booking in cars could easily be done at the normal reception desk rather than the clumsy way it is done at present. Poor visibility at gates could result in gates moving inward and striking a vehicle waiting to exit. I had some anxiety as it was foggy but remembered the gates from a previous visit. Some illuminated signage to this effect and notification at desk and/or rear door into car park would promote greater safety. The notice about "no suitcases beyond this point" seems superfluous. Who would want to lug a suitcase out there and over the rough terrain? Why not remove that notice and replace it with a helpful one instead, as suggested above. Kindest regards David Gardner Aucherarder"

"Rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet despite being so close to the airport. The walk to the airport isn't far, but not great with two suitcases and two small children in the pouring rain. We might have been better to check out the transfer service or get a taxi! Overall convenient and good value for money."
Ramada Hotel reviews

"Our arrival was ok, but from then on things went downhill. We both had a Pizza for our evening meal, and although it was tasteful, we both felt there was way too much cheese in the topping. We considered that the drinks were overpriced, even for a hotel. When we awoke the next morning my wife pulled back the bedsheets to find a large bloodstain on the sheet, and with no signs of injury to either of us or any other reason to conclude that it had happened during our stay, we concluded that a dirty sheet had been left on the bed after the previous occupant, unfortunately we did not have time to complain. The transfer to the airport was ok, but on our return it took me 4 attempts over 8 minutes to contact the transfer service and a further 20 minute wait until the transfer coach picked us up. We will not be using The Glasgow Airport Ramada again."

"I would not use travelodge again. When we arrived they had booked out all their Quad rooms, although we had reserved one! They did manage to find us two twin rooms at no extra cost but we specified we wanted our children in the same room as us as we had to get up at 4am for a flight to spain. we booked the travelodge as it was advertised that the price included 7 nights free parking. We assumed this was in the travelodge car park, but it was a ten minute drive to another part of Glasgow. We don't know Glasgow so that was an additional stress. Arriving late at night and having no room and then being told that we couldnt park in the car park is totally unacceptable. We'll book a B&B next time and make our own parking arrangements."
