The parking itself was fine. The SatNav co-ordinates given on the website did not correspond with the exact location of the car park & the signposting to the car park was not good. The barrier did not lift in response to ANPR as expected either on arrival or departure so we had to show our ticket to the car park staff. Minor irritations but worth sorting out.

Happy with the parking but the barrier did not open on arrival and we had to get a ticket and then speak to someone at the desk in reception. She said that they hadn't been notified that we were parking hence the barrier not opening. She fixed the problem and when we left we had no problems. It is irritating though because you want it to go smoothly. I most probably will go direct to Dover Authority now.

Unfortunately we broke down on the Sunday evening which meant we were unable to travel by car on the Monday for our trip to Calais, so we cannot fill in this review. J Lock

Dover Ferry Parking was very convenient and good value for money and should be secure. However required assistance to allow entrance, due to incorrect information stored on their computer. (corrected before we left the car park) On our return the registration recognition at the barrier failed, so again required assistance to allow exit. Moral of the story is DO NOT LEAVE IT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TO PARK YOUR CAR, we parked the car the night before we sailed (08.00 ferry)

There was plenty of space to park, easy access to lifts, good facilities in the Travel Centre, and the car was there ready for us on our return.

What more can I say, Turned up and barrier opened up for me. It is right next to the port and felt like a safe location. No problems at all I cannot really answer the question "Were the parking staff friendly and helpful?" as I didn't need any help at all !

Easy online booking, easy to follow instructions and directions and above all adjacent to departure and arrivals, which, travelling alone, I find particularly appealing.

The parking spaces at this car park are narrow. Problem with the building design. Take care! Did experience some problem with Customer Service as I had two bookings a week apart. One had been for an earlier date but had been amended. However, the two bookings seem to have been confused and had to speak to Essential in the end to get it sorted. Nevertheless, good value compared to the normal parking prices here.

everything was fine, parking easy to find, recognition number plate worked so no probs. totally uneventful which meant we could concentrate on the day rather than worrying about our car. Txs will use again when travelling as a foot pax.

I left my car in this parking for 1 week and it was great. No one stole anything, the car was well looked after and all this for a decent amount of money. The access by taxi was ok.

We were going on a day trip. The multi-storey was easy to locate as we drove in. The automatic numberplate recognition worked fine both on entrance and exit. A very cost effective, hassle free way of parking. I have already booked again and would recommend it.

I booked on line and the cameras let me in and out automatically. Very easy and convenient as right next to the dock, i will definitely use this again.

When we arrived at the car park we was on the understanding that our registration would be identified and then the barrier would go up, this never happened. We spoke to security and give them our reference number and then let us in. On leaving the car park we was approached by a member of your staff who said I am glad I have seen you, you gave the wrong reference number this morning, which we never did and then snatched the correspondence from my partners hand and said I will let you out this time and then marched off, so we do not know what went wrong.

barrier worked OK by reg auto recognition. Small parking spaces and a far work - but fine.

We used the car registration recognition option when we booked and it all worked without any problems. Would use this option again.

we arrived at dover ferry parking thinking it was going to be a nightmare but it wasn't.we drove to the barrier and within seconds we were recognised and we were in and parked. This was a fantastic location as we went down the lift and straight into the checking in desk. This car park was worth every penny and is cheap,not much more we could have asked for.When we arrived back there were no problems getting out,i would recommend this car park as i will definitely use it again.

There was a slight hesitation and fumbling for the instructions when the barrier didn't go up automatically but the answer on pressing the 'help' button was immediate.

Great that we made a saving pre-booking and easy to do. Not so easy finding entrance to car park if first time to Dover Ports - signage could be better. Likewise, found a parking bay with ease and great note having to purchase a ticket, eliminated looking for money, ticket machine etc. However, on leaving car park no signs as to which way to go to Booking Office. In brief, experience with gosimply - great 100% - experience with ferry company not so simply for first time visitors.

The whole process was so easy. Booking on line was straightforward and with number plate recognition at the airport checking in and leaving the car park is simple. Altogether a good system which I am likely to use again.
