Gatwick Meet & Greet Parking Service Exposed by BBC Programme
Written by CaseyBBC One’s Rogue Traders programme recently uncovered dodgy doings committed by a company providing meet and greet parking at Gatwick Airport.
It was revealed that drivers employed by ACE Parking UK were speeding in customers’ cars and parking them in un-secure car parks, including one site that was targeted by arsonists last October.
ACE Parking owner Colin Wells said he “took his eye off the ball for awhile”, but that he has now taken “drastic action” including purchasing speed guns for the cars and sacking the drivers who were caught speeding by the Rogue Traders crew.
Mr. Wells, who is also a stripper, was confronted in the middle of performing what he thought was a strip routine for a hen party, which was actually set up by the BBC programme. Despite not having any issues with the problems highlighted on the show, he admits he was not happy with the way he was exposed, stating it was only an attempt to discredit him as a businessman.

Will you be brave enough to post my reply”The Truth”
I can see this is a blog to climb of the back of the Rogue traders program recently shown regarding Ace parking, your blog in part is correct but this is clearly not ..”cars and parking them in un-secure car parks” ..! All my car parks where found to be secure(Watch the program) apart from a 1 small carpark of which I have now sorted(As per program). My comment is that this blog claims to promote alternative car parks”Maple Manor”&”Airparks” Can I ask then why Maple Manor park in Horly, below the railway bridge in a less than secure car park(just go see)or why Maple Manor rent a carpark not 25 feet(next door) from the site that you commented on having the ” arsonists attack last October”.. surely if you are promotting Maple Manor as a secure car park then why would they park here..?, next door to where the arsonists attack happened and on the same site Ace parking where filmed or maybe you can ask Maple Manor how 19 CAT,s where stolen from thier costmers cars in there so called “secure car park Last summer”. Or shall we ask Airparks to comment on the 3 Write offs they have had this year..2009″ …
The point I am making is that maybe who ever is writing these blogs should firstly consider that they should not through stones in glass houses. My business, Ace parking through Rogue traders has become a much better company and I have stood up and accepted criticism and acted with honesty and commitment to my costumers, can alternative airport parking companies claim this…??
Things are not always what they seem.

Dear Mr Wells,
Thank you for your comments regarding ACE Meet and Greet which we are more than happy to post and offer a balanced perspective to the Rogue Trader programme. We aim to offer customers a transparent service and fair insight into the products that are featured on gosimply.com.
As part of our aim, you may notice that we display both positive and negative product reviews, alongside a rating derived from continual customer feedback about the product, its service levels and the facilities that are offered.
Each car park is visited by a representative from the respective travel companies appearing on gosimply.com, including Holiday Extras, FHR and APH, and we are informed of its availability for sale along with details including security features and transfer times.
We also provide each car park with an individual survey to ensure that all information is relevant, detailed and up to date. Car park performance is reviewed continually, with the very best products receiving a gosimply.com award if they meet our high criteria at the end of the month.
Due to the nature of our rating system, ongoing surveys and customer feedback we are confident that should any car park suffer a continual downturn in customer service, security or performance it will be removed from our site.
Equally, should a car park continually improve its service, whether it is aimed at the budget parking market or high-end business customer, our site will happily display this option.
