Financial Times recommends for airport lounges

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011 by Nick

Here at, we’ve always been aware of the benefits that a relaxing start to your journey can have and we’ve always been keen to provide travellers with as much information as possible for the 100’s of airport parking, airport hotel and airport lounge services available. It’s always nice however when someone else recognises our hard work and the service we provide, as did the ‘Financial Times’ just last week.

The Stress of the Airport Terminal

Avoid the stress of the airport terminal

In their article, the Financial Times were talking about the various ways in which travellers could lessen the niggles and discomforts that economy flights of 4 hours or more can inflict and, you’ve guessed it, pre-booking an airport lounge was one of those recommendations.

Enjoy The Comfort Of An Airport Lounge

Relax In Style Before Boarding Your Flight

An airport lounge can help you to relax and get into the right frame of mind before you even board the flight. With prices starting from as little as £13.50 per person and inclusive of drinks and snacks, as well as other facilities to help you pass the time in comfort, an airport lounge is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal building. As the ‘Financial Times’ so kindly pointed out, this is where “Sites such as ‘’ can help”.

So next time you’re planning a journey, whether for business or pleasure, why not plan ahead and rather than dreading the airport experience, look forward to it as a welcome part of the overall journey plan.

Stansted Airport Car Park Fire – Will It Affect You?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 by Casey

Unhappy news was reported from Stansted Airport over the bank holiday weekend, as 24 vehicles were damaged or virtually destroyed by a fire that broke out in the Long Stay Car Park.

Modern Airport Interior

Fire crews were dispatched in the early hours of Sunday and found several cars alight.  The police, however, have said they are not treating the fire as suspicious, and it was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in one of the cars.

So how will this affect you if you’ll be needing Long Stay parking at Stansted Airport within the next few days?  It remains to be seen what impact this will have on availability of spaces, but we will let our customers know as and when we receive any details.

And remember, we also have Stansted Airport Mid Stay Parking, Orange Park and Ride and a whopping 12 Meet and Greet services to choose from, including Meteor Parking.

Now Provides Street View For Airport Parking

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 by Casey

So here’s the deal.  The gosimply Brain Trust were sitting around one day, furiously generating cranial heat, when someone said “Hey! If you were a hotdog…would you eat yourself?  It’s a simple question; a baby could answer it:  If you were a HOTDOG…would you EAT yourself?”

Now, I know what you’re thinking.  You’re thinking, “Wow!  Those gosimply folk really know their stuff!”, and you’d be entirely correct, because out of that same Great Commune of Minds came the idea you’re about to hear.

See the car park with Street View at!

Have you ever been trying to find some place you’ve never visited before, and would love to know what it looks like so you can recognise it when you see it?  Would you like to be able to at least get an idea of surrounding landmarks that would help you know when you’re getting close to your destination?

Well, if you’re looking for an airport car park, rejoice! has now incorporated patented Google Street View technology to let you, dear customer, view the car park of your choice with just a few clicks (and maybe a couple o’ “drags”).

That’s right, you can now view around 70% of the car parks we currently offer using Street View.  (The other 30% don’t have Street View available yet, unfortunately.  We’ll keep an eye on that and let you know.)

So, not only can you now see the entrance of the car park and its surrounding area, but also get an idea of where your vehicle will be stored before you make your booking.  How helpful is that? (Here’s where we’d like you to say “Very!”)

If you don’t mind us tooting our own sousaphone, we might add that we’re the first to offer this, too.  So next time you’re in need of airport parking, visit and take advantage of our Google Street View feature.  Then really push the boat out and treat yourself to a hotdog (we recommend the brown mustard).

Wherever you’re going, gosimply.
