A recent birth that occured on the way to the hospital resulted in a rather out-of-the-ordinary baby name this week…

We’ve all heard tales of parents naming children after their place of conception or birth.  Paris and Brooklyn are becoming commonplace; Eel Pie perhaps less so.  The latest addition to this trend is the newborn daughter of Tony Richardson and Samantha Smyth of Poole in Dorset, who’s been named automotively, if you will.

When Samantha went into labour two weeks early last Sunday she phoned her mum for a lift, but the tot wouldn’t be patient and came into this world in the car as they arrived at Poole Hospital.  In honour of her early arrival and the unusual location of her birth, her planned name (Tilley) has been changed to Kia (as in Carens).

Now, this got us thinking here at gosimply HQ…if the trend continues, and births occur as couples are leaving on holiday, we might see future generations with boys and girls named after airport parking services.

That’s right, you’ll hear a father at a football match shouting encouragement to feisty little Cosmo Belfast, or you might bump into Maple Manor and her mum whilst they’re out shopping for her first party dress.

Oh yeah, don’t forget the twins…Park N Fly.

As the nights close in and the weather continues to cool, the time comes once again to announce our list of gosimply Award-winners.  These car parks have demonstrated a commitment to excellent customer service and providing good value-for-money; two things that we all can appreciate no matter what time of year it is.

Two airport car parks are first-time winners this month:  the Long Stay Car Parks 2 and 3 at East Midlands Airport and Liverpool Airport Long Stay Parking have made the grade, joining such repeat winners as Cophall Farm Parking at Gatwick and Meteor Meet and Greet Birmingham.

The increasingly ubiquitous “gosimply face” now seems to have been picked up by alien visitors in their attempts to communicate with Earthlings through designs created in unsuspecting farmers’ fields.  While some people are quick to dismiss these giant works of art as nothing more than man-made hoaxes, many believe that UFOs and their otherworldly crews are behind the phenomena.

At present, none of these ET’s have phoned authorities (at home or otherwise) to explain the reasons behind this sudden outbreak of gosimply crop circles.  The Travel Product Authorities here at gosimply HQ, however, have every reason to believe that even life forms from other galaxies have discovered the benefits of using gosimply.com – whether parking their spaceship at the airport, snoozing in an airport hotel, or trying to blend in with us human folk by hiring a car.

In an amazing instance of coincidence, Google is spelling out their logo using the phenomenon of crop circles on the same day that gosimply crop circles have been spotted throughout the UK.We’ve always said that smart people gosimply, and now it appears that even beings of extraterrestrial intelligence do the same.

gosimply.com has today unveiled the face behind its recent “Guess Who?” contest. Visitors that correctly identified the dragon behind the smiley logo were treated to some exclusive travel discounts, including 15% off travel insurance, 10% off airport parking, hotels and lounges and 5% off car hire.

Now that the contest has closed, we are pleased to announce the hidden face belongs to James Caan of the popular BBC2 programme Dragon’s Den!

Just as Mr. Caan invests in people who demonstrate the potential for success, we at gosimply.com take pride in offering our customers the simplest means of  booking their travel extras to ensure their holiday’s success.

Company directors James Burrows and Tim Hagger, had the pleasure of meeting with James Caan recently – although according to some  gosimply.com  customers,  they could have equally been face to face with Alan Sugar, Duncan Bannatyne or even Simon Cowell! Perhaps they were more crouching tiger, than hidden dragon…

September is here, which means we’ve taken a look back over the previous month and determined which car parks have excelled enough in August to receive our gosimply.com Award for Customer Satisfaction.

We’ve got 6 newcomers who have made the grade, and a whopping 25 others making a return to our honours list.

It makes us proud here at gosimply to be able to offer so many quality airport parking options to our customers, so without further ado here are our August winners (with ratings and average prices thrown in for good measure):

Here at gosimply we are committed to providing the cheapest airport parking prices while maintaining a high standard of quality and security. We routinely compare our prices with those of our competitors to ensure that we are amongst the cheapest available.

I’ve just carried out a brief comparison of our prices for parking at the two busiest UK airports, Gatwick and Heathrow, with those of our main competitors and I’m pleased to report that we are matching the cheapest prices quoted from their websites.

For example, currently one week’s parking at Gatwick Airport (from 8/9/09 to 15/9/09) will cost you only £51.60 from gosimply. This is at the excellent Cophall Farm car park which has received glowing reviews from 98% of over 1500 customers who have kindly commented on the service. This price is on a par with the best price quoted elsewhere and most were significantly more.

Similarly, for the same period, we are currently offering parking at Heathrow Airport at only £46.95 for the week. This is at the Purple Parking off-airport car parking facility located just 15 minutes from the main airport terminals.

It is interesting to note that the prices quoted by BAA, who operate car parks at both Gatwick and Heathrow, are among the most expensive that I have found. This is why price-conscious, savvy travellers are choosing gosimply.com as their reliable travel-service provider.
