gosimply In The News – August 2010

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010 by Casey

Now that we’ve reached the middle of August, we thought it would be a good time to highlight some of the very tasteful and intelligent news services that have recognised gosimply.com as a great website to visit to compare airport parking.

gosimply.com have been recommended again

The Crafty Traveller at the Mail Online wrote a terrific article last week giving tips on how to keep your holiday costs down.  Lo and behold, gosimply.com was singled out for having “loads of revealing customer reviews”.  When recommending airport parking price comparison services, the author also praised gosimply as “one of the best“, and said we were a great source for valet parking services to boot.

Then, just as our smiles about that glowing review began to fade a bit, along came a piece on the Mirror.co.uk website titled “20 ways to cut the cost of your holiday“.   Number 4 included a recommendation for travellers to visit gosimply.com to search for the best on and off-site airport parking deals at UK airports.

It always means a lot to us when we receive these kinds of kudos, because they confirm for us that we’re doing things right, and that we’re helping thousands of customers save money on not only their airport parking, but airport hotels, lounges, travel insurance and car hire too.

We’ve always believed it, and the national press continue to agree – smart people gosimply.

Gatwick Parking Company Speaks Out to Customers

Thursday, January 21st, 2010 by Tim

It has always been our policy to display customer feedback on gosimply.com, whether good or bad. We don’t hide behind a facade of praise, nor do we intervene with negative reviews. The visitor gets to see what other customers think, as is, and undiluted.

speech-right-to-replyWe recently received some constructive feedback from RS09 Meet and Greet parking at Gatwick Airport about some negative reviews that were posted by gosimply.com customers regarding their service.

Just as customers can have their say on gosimply.com, so too can our suppliers – it’s only fair, and it’s the way we work.

Christopher Smith, Director of RS09 Meet and Greet Parking offered us the following address to Mrs Fox, who had given their service a mediocre rating due to a 30 minute wait and a mark on her car.

Mr Smith commented, “When a customer rings from the baggage hall they are told how long their vehicle will be, if for any reason it is going to take longer than expected due to traffic or an accident etc we will ring the customer and explain the situation and tell them to wait inside and that we will call them as soon as we are outside with there vehicle. If Mrs Fox had noticed damage on her vehicle that she deems to be our fault, why did she not get in contact with us? if she had we would have dealt with her complaint quickly and efficiently.”

Another customer, Miss Shah, gave the Gatwick Airport parking service a lower rating due to the fact that the service took 20 minutes to pick her up.

Mr Smith states, “it does state that it can take 20 minutes to return the vehicle. This however is very rarely the case and only happens when it is out of our control i.e traffic jams, accidents etc. 9 times out of 10 the car is outside within 5 to 10 minutes.”

As with any review system, gosimply.com recommend that as a visitor, you consider the overall picture, taking all reviews into balance. If you find that a product or service seems very biased, for example, scoring 100% from 100’s of customers, question the intention of the website, and cross check with reviews elsewhere.

We would like to thank Mr Smith for his comments.

Travel Not Just For A-List Pooches, Daaarling!

Friday, October 30th, 2009 by Amie

Are you looking to travel and take your beloved pet with you? Whether you’re transporting your pampered Pomeranian who has colour coordinated apparel that would make Paris Hilton green with envy, or your Staffordshire Bull Terrier who could make the scariest thug quiver like Evander Holyfield, it’s always best to keep up to date with the rules and regulations that you need to follow.

pooch-in-a-bagThe Pet Travel Scheme is a system that allows pet owners in the UK to take their dogs, cats, ferrets and other small animals to other European Union (EU) countries without the need for quarantine (which can be a distressing process for both animal and owner!).

This also means that people from certain countries outside of the UK can bring their pets to the UK without the need for quarantine. So less stress for you and fluffy!

However, in order for this to happen certain rules must be adhered to. The UK does not permit the import of pets that have not been vaccinated against rabies.

These rules are set in place to keep the UK and EU countries free from rabies and other diseases. So don’t forget your Rodolfo like Polly! Make sure you plan ahead and take your companion(s) with you.
