Parking is not allocated, pot luck where you get parked, no secure area, when hotel full, very difficult to find parking. Return transfers not very frequent, would have had to wait for one hour so decided to get a taxi at a cost of 15.50, would stay again but would cost in the taxi fare when compareing prices.

The hotel was just what we needed somewhere to put our heads down for the night. Although it isnt that close to the airport, it wasnt hard to find. The Transferes to and from the airport were great!! Thanks

Arrived too late to do anything other than sleep but we were very pleased with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Transfer to the airport and back good and free which was a bonus.

We found the service perfect. The hotel was nice, we checked in, had a few drinks in the bar and then supper in the bar. It was great that we were only 15 mins from the airport for our early morning flight. Pick up was great on the way back and I was soon on my way back home.

The staff were fine, I was not expecting a palace, but the room was not the cleanest or the most welcoming. The food at the buffet was good, but expensive, and the public areas (bars, corridors) were dirty in some area. However it did the job and very good prompt transport got us to the airport in time. I've read quite a few reviews about this hotel and think many of them are unfair. My room was clean and comfortable - and I thought reasonable for £79 for one night and 8 days car parking. It was easy to find on jct 10A of M23. Checking in was quick and easy. Finding a parking space was no problem. Airport transfer was on time - only 10 mins away from South Terminal. I didn't have the breakfast in the hotel as I had an early flight but ate in the bar in the night and the food was fine- plenty of it! Overall all I'd recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere just to stay for the night, its not 5 star but then you aren't paying 5 star prices!!!

We would use it again, but it could do with a sign off the motorway junction as we turned the wrong way. Signs in the car park would be a big help too.

Waiting at the Pick Up waiting area at Gatwick Airport is a most dismal experience - narrow area, cold and a scrum of people. The fact that you do not know where the Hotel Coach will pull in and that you are encumbered with heavy baggage adds to the poor experience. The free for all is a nightmare for those in anyway frail.

I was very disapointed with the hotel - There was nowhere to park my car - had to leave it on the grass - When I got to my room there was no heating, and no hot water. - i reported this to reception who said they would pass it on to the manager.no response. - when I went to the restaurant I was told that I could not book to the room due to the fact that I had the 'wrong colour stamp' on my card?? - I had to go to reception to get the stamp changed! - I booked out early the next morning to get to the airport, when I got to reception I could not get a VAT reciept, I was told just to throw my key in box. When I questioned the guy on reception about my complaints the previous night he said that nothing had been put on file. - all in all not somewhere I would stay again

not much for kids to do, food quite expensive, i dont see how breakfast has to be that expensive i think if it was around 6.99 and child 3.99 as they hardly eat anything is much more reasonable, then more people are likely to eat at the hotel. i am a student and was unable to entertain eating our evening meal and breakfast there so we had to go to the terminal.

The service on arrival was non exsistent, the reception staff were rude and unhelpful. There was no heating in the room, when i called reception they told me that the heating did not come on until 5:00pm, this is ridicilous in the middle of December. We then went to the bar for a drink and a snack, and written in felt tip pen on the bar was a note saying that due to technical difficulties there would be no food on offer, this was the last straw. I have never stayed in such an awful hotel, and I have stayed in a few over the years, the service was diabolical and the hotel was a mess. I will not be stayin in any of the Brittania hotels again, and I will make sure that my friends and family will not either.

The transfer service from Gatwick Airport to the Europa Hotel was not frequent enough. We just missed one bus and had to stand in the cold with our luggage in excess of 45 minutes, during which time we witnessed that other hotels offered a more frequent transger service.

We were disappointed to find that we were on the upper floor and there were no lifts. 2 members of our party are in their 70's and there was no one available to assist with carrying their luggage up 2 flights of stairs.

Restaurant dreary. Completely self service - staff only clean the tables. Cutlery scarce. Bare tables. Absolutely no frills. Food mediocre. Generally not a pleasant experience.

Coming back I had obviously just missed a bus. According to the timetable I had a wait of 1 hour 10 minutes - this was Saturday at 1.10pm. In fact the bus arrived and left 5 minutes earlier than timetabled. Other hotels had more frequent buses, next time I will use one of them

This had to be one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. More like a 1 star. There were hairs in the bath and toe nail clipping in the carpet. Someone did come to hoover when we complained. There are next to no facilites to eat at the bar. All that was available was a coffee table at the majority of the seating area. The room was generally grotty with mould on the window blinds. The bed cover was filthy on the inside and covered in stains. Would rather sleep on the road side than use this hotel again.

We chose the hotel because we had an early morning departure. We were told that we could park the car at the hotel while we were away. When we got to the hotel, we were told that there was no space and that we would have to park the car at the Summer Special Parking car-park at Gatwick. Because of this, we had to get up at 4am in order to leave enough time to get to Gatwick, park, catch the shuttle bus to Gatwick in time for 6am. This is the same time we would have to get up at home. Also, although we were leaving from the North Terminal, and the Summer Special Carpark was at the North Terminal, the shuttle bus took us to the South Terminal, so that meant that we had to take the monorail back to the North Terminal, adding to our time. The room was clean, but the corridors leading to the hotel room could have done with some re-decoration, the walls were scuffed and the paintwork was worn out. Because we had to leave the room so early, we didn't have a chance to get any breakfast, as they started serving at 6am.
