I found the room at this hotel to be in very poor condition, the TV didn't work properly the walls were stained and the tiles in the bathroom were hanging off, one fell off the wall completely during our one night stay. I can't say if this is the norm at this hotel, it could be that generally smoking rooms are generally in poorer condition than non, but for the star rating and the cost per night i found this unacceptable. The leisure facilities are in a seperate building and the pictures that you see on the website I feel personally are not a true representation of the quality or size. On the plus side...the hotel has a good transfers and the staff were very friendly.

A very nice hotel with pretty much everything you will need for your stay. Nice peaceful bar with reasonably priced food and good selection. Room was comfortable, big and clean. Coach to the airport came on time.

This was without doubt the worst hotel of any star I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. Filthy dirty, badly maintained - just dreadful. The hotel should be closed down and I am surprised it passes any inspection. GRIM GRIM GRIM - I REPEAT - DO NOT BOOK UNLESS ABSOLUTELY DESPERATE!!!

The Hotel is a bit 'tired' in places, there was some renovation work going on so they are doing something about it I suppose, all too dark and gloomy though. The extraction didn't work in the bathroom, and some light bulbs were gone.

You park on site at the hotel. The car park was packed when we arrived due to wedding guests parking so we parked in a far corner off the tarmac, onto gravel in unmarked spaces. However the car did not get damaged. The wedding guests were fairly quiet so we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was good value at £5 per adult and children free. It was a help yourself buffet with lots of choice. The buses were prompt and quick. I would use the service again.

Good value for money, no noise in rooms. A little shabby, does require redecorating but possibly waiting until smoking bill enforced. No choice in restaurant menu due to flight cancellations and therefore possibly non paying guests.

Finding a parking place was initially difficult, I had expected more signs or notices giving the procedure to be followed, However, overall, the hotel and facilities met my requirements very well and I would use them again.

The check-in was quick and simple. The coach to the airport was on time and the driver was very helpful. It basically did what it said on the tin and efficiently at that.

The hotel is tired and in need of updating. It did not offer value for money in terms of the quality of accommodation, and the food was pretty basic. In the restaurant, there was no waitress service for drinks. You had to go down and fetch and pay for your own at the bar. This made us feel distrusted and in my view, is not the way one would run any hotel which wishes to be regarded as four star. In my view, although this hotel is large, its rating should be no more than a very basic three star hotel. I would regard any higher rating as misleading.

Overnight parking is a nightmare, crammed full of long-term parkers. Paying extra for leisure facilities is a liberty. Decor and lack of light makes hotel appear dirty and dull. Double bed was very narrow, not built for comfort or 2 people. Bedroom was basic and towels small size in bathroom. Very much a budget hotel designed for overnight stay only. Two nights would drive you crazy. You get what you pay for and cost here was ok but not great value. Only use again if no alternative.

Hotel was dirty, noisy at night, the bathroom door would not close and the retaurant only did a carvery and would not serve wine. Would not recommend this hotel.

We booked on the basis of price and were not disappointed. The buffet was adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The transfer arrangements were good.

Complaints registered with hotel which have been acknowledged. Refurbishment is planned and very badly needed in hotel rooms. Carpet leading from restaurant to reception is badly worn and bordering on the dangerous. Decor of restaurant dismal.

The hotel is great, and I would certainly use it again, however it is starting to show signs of its age. (Example - worn carpets) I would guess management would be thinking of, or planning, refurbishments.

Have stayed at a number of airport hotels in the past and this has been the worst by a long long way. Very poor decoration wise. Room was a nonsmoking room but stank of fags. The carpets in places was threadbare. Will not be staying at this group of hotels again.

Very good value, with large, clean, family room and 14 day's parking. I'd use it again for sure.

Close to Gatwick and good for a one night stay. Car park was pretty full and ended up a long way from the only entrance. Carvery very expensive for what it was. Poor TV choice in room. Wi-Fi available in lobby but not room.

Transfer to the airport good. Return transfers not frequent enough, resulting in over an hour wait and very very full bus.

Staff very helpful and friendly; large well furnished room; early morning call on time; parking very good indeed. Excellent value. Will certainly use again.
