Whilst the service that was offered was good, we had noticed a decline in the standards in the hotel as regards to cleanliness. The restaurant was very 'scruffy' and not at all welcoming. The food was good and this did make up for it. I would certainly not consider booking again because of the standards of hygiene and also presentation in general.

We found both the room and parking good value for money and we enjoyed ourselves in the bar before our holiday too!

Having three single single beds, the rooms were cramped, especially access to the third bed. One bed had linen with holes in. There apparently weren't sufficient flannels available for each person in a room to have their own. The airport transfer was by bus, which was late and crowded.

Reasonably priced hotel, and fairly close to the airport. Good value, clean and adequate for what we needed, which was an overnight stay.

The room we had was a little stuffy (warm) and would benefit from better ventilation. We were disturbed a few times during the night by other guests entering and departing their rooms as the noise tended to carry through our part of the building. Recommend hotel restaurant and the bus shuttle between hotel and airport.

The hotel room didn't fulfill expectations. There were numerous black marks from shoes or suitcases on the walls, the groundfloor bathroom window lacked a privacy curtain and was cold. The room had not been cleaned very thoroughly. The double bed was a narrow standard 4' 6" width, and was too soft for my liking. The public areas looked well-worn. Many of the car parking spaces are too small or are very awkward to access for larger cars or 4x4s. I won't be using this hotel again, it fell well below the standards I've experienced in other similarly graded hotels, including other Thistle hotels.

We couldn't open windows in the room, room was stiflingly warm - couldn't switch off radiator in bathroom. No curtain in the bathroom window on the ground floor backing onto the car park! Shower didn't work. We will not be using this hotel again as I have never stayed in such an awful place.

Not enough room for luggage and too many people on the bus. It was very dangerous. We'd been picked up from the airport and were dropping people off but also picking people up before we all got off. Very frustrating for all of us tired customers.

The bed headboard (fabric surface) had black area where countless heads had rested. Light bulb had failed. Radiators could not be turned down. Having reserved a no smoking room months before we were placed in a smokers room (no non smoking left. Meal in restaurant was poor and had to be returned to the kitchen to be reheated. The noodles were then tough to chew. Car park was badly lit and large puddles had to be avoided.

The shower was useless and the room and bathroom were very shabby. We will not use it again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Hotel was OK, clean and tidy, but our room was in need of some TLC. Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was overpriced and really not that great, price to quality were a long way out of kielter!

The hotel was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and the staff friendly. We had to leave the car at the hotel and take the bus, which was no problem, and coming home was the same. Very good value for the money, only costing a little more than just parking would have. Would recommend it to anyone looking to relax the night before instead of trying to get to the airport on the morning of their flight and hitting traffic.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday 9th March and were booked in. The room we were initially given had a broken bath panel (room 105). I ran the shower too and I could not get any hot water, and the heating in the room was not working. My husband went to the reception to complain and was told that someone would come to the room to sort out the problem. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the room and no one came. My husband and I were very tired and were due to leave at 4am the next morning and it was already 9:30pm. We went to the reception to complain and were told that there was a problem with the water in those rooms and it was being fixed. The receptionist upgraded us to another room upstairs. My husband and I moved to the new room and unpacked. Once in the new room my husband went into the bathroom to run a shower. To our frustration the shower did not work. There was no water coming out of the shower and only a trickle coming from the bath tap. In addition to that, the toilet would not flush as there was no water filling up the cistern. By this time both my husband and I were too tired to complain and went to bed, hoping for a shower in the morning. On waking in the morning at 3:15am, we discoverd to our dismay that the water problem had not been fixed and we could not have a shower. All we could do was leave the sink tap trickling hot water to enable us to have a quick wash. We packed and went to the reception to check out and informed the receptionist that the water problem was still not fixed. The receptionist believed that the problem had been fixed but it hadn't. Both my husband and I were not impressed with the lack of communication between the staff and the guests regarding this water problem. There was no apology given in the morning when we checked out of the hotel and no explanation regarding the cause of the problem. We were very disappointed that our stay at this hotel was affected by this problem and that it affected the start of our holiday.

The hotel was listed on some sites as a 3 star and others as 4. We were really disappointed with the hotel overall, although for the money I guess we shouldn't have expected too much. The room was tiny, very basic, and there was mould around the window sills. The room service menu was reasonable, but the food arrived cold. The only two good things were the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the airport transfer was bang on time. However, we did believe from the website that the car would be parked and left on site and it wasn't. Really wouldnt go back to this hotel.

Comfortable room, pleasant surroundings and lovely food. Staff efficient and friendly. Transfer to airport - easy on the way to South Terminal - make sure you are directed to correct Bus Stop 11 on return...(not No. 11 Bus Stop for Metro services) Unfortunately - we wasted just over an hour having been directed to wrong bus stop initially (under tunnel) and was not directed through to courtesy Bus Stop No. 11 straight away. Found it eventually.

Long delays at check in, wasn't aware car would be moved during stay and asked to sign disclaimer for damage to vehicle! Had no choice, then told at reception car wouldn't be moved (only during summer peak) but it managed to clock up 10 miles whilst away and was parked in a different bay. Worked out Ok in end but not happy and won't repeat. Coach driver on return was really good, pleasant and helpful.

We had a fun evening in the bar the night before our flight. Good food and good entertainment. We stayed up longer than planned as disco and raffle was good fun.

Restaurant was very expensive and not particularly good. Bar meals as an alternative would have been good for those of us who did not want room service.
