Basic hotel that was comfortable enough for sleep over. Easy transfer to Gatwick. Additional charge of £10 levied for transfer back to airport in the morning. Transfers from 6am were supposedly included in the listed price.

When guests wanted to use the dining room they were informed by dining room staff quite abruptly that the dining room was open until 8.45am and then they were shutting. This was quite clearly stated so that guests in the reception area could hear it.

I rang the hotel twice to confirm that our reservation was correct. On arrival there was NO parking space allocated for us at all, we had to park on the drive. After we had dinner at the local pub and retired to our rooms, 2 ladies were getting ready for bed when the door was unlocked from the outside and an asian man walked in. He went out quicker than he came in. He did ring and apologise but he did not give any reason for hiis behaviour apart from a mix up in the booking but as I had spoken to the hotel twice to confirm the booking I did not believe him. Finally when we returned to the hotel to collect our car they had lost the key and it took them nearly 15minutes to find . I can honestly say that I would never use the hotel again.

The room was smelling of damp, the shower door was broken, the paper was lifting of the wall, small wardroom with no door, restaurant food is a lot to be desired.

Food OK, dining area clean. Desk staff hard to find in AM. Great transport service...although I booked for 8 AM I was able to change it in the AM for an earlier time...driver pleasant and helpful.

I thought the hotel was rather shabby, we asked for some ice to chill some champagne to celebrate something and were given 3 pieces. Not recommended.

Very well situated from the airport (only several mins by taxi). The food was very nice, but a little expensive. Overall I would recommend it to anyone needing to stay for one night waiting between flights.

The location is good for Gatwick, but I would choose a different hotel off the main road but in that area. The room was small, clean but adequate. The dining area looked very basic but we did not eat there. The parking at the hotel is limited and you may not have room to park there if you arrive late.

I was unable to gain access to the hotel for some time after I (and several other) guests arrived around midnight. There was no cold water from the tap and the shower was a dribble. Nobody seemed remotely bothered among the hotel staff I reported these problems to.

I thought my room was very shabby, the "bathroom" not clean, no facilities provided other than a small towel, and the single bed had definitely seen better days. I would NOT stay there again.

I rate this as an average, people processor deal, but it was adequate. The Summer Special parking was very efficient.

Just needed it as a bed for the night. My room faced a busy road and the window latch was broken and would not shut. So I had the bed, but not a lot of sleep.

Although this hotel is cheap and cheerful, it is definitely past its sell-by-date. The rooms, if clean, freshly painted and mold and mildew treated would be adequate for a one night stop-over. However next time I would much sooner pay more purely because of the condition of the rooms. It does have potential but needs a definite facelift.

After asking for a non smoking room we were given a room that reeked of smoke. I understand that sometimes non smoking rooms are used by smokers who couldn't care less but at least they should be checked and aired thoroughly.

Great location, so close to Gatwick and whilst room decor & furniture are well past their best, accomodation is clean, comfortable and excellent value for money.

Stayed here for 1 night before an early morning flight. Got no sleep as people were banging doors from the minute we arrived til the minute we left, the water from the taps tasted like it had come straight from the toilet. We were glad to get out of here. The staff were very polite but were just lounging around watching TV � not very welcoming!! The place had so much potential, but sadly realised none of it. On the upside there was a cracking curry house up the road where we had a nice meal � just next door to a pizza place and video shop. I am advised that the Gatwick Worth Hotel is a better bet for your money � so give that a whirl.

For the price I paid, I expected good basic accommodation. That is exactly what I got. The early morning transfer to the airport was 15 minutes late, which didn't affect me, but might have caused others problems.
