There was a wedding on, but we still had 100% service.
Good stop-over hotel but the restaurant is poor and service slow.Rooms and bathroom good, we booked a twin which had two double beds. Transfer to airport was good but we had a long way to walk with the cases before we got a trolley due to the fact that the hotel bus did not take us to the terminal entrance although a taxi will. I think this must be due to charges but be warned, if you have mobility problems book a taxi.
Hotel was first rate and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The transfers were prompt and on return the driver not only drove us to the car park but drove us to our car and helped transfer the luggage into the boot. How good is that !
Would use this hotel and parking in the future in spite of the confusion of pick up points as we would now know what to expect!
Room very luxurious and of a high standard. No aircraft noise and well situated to dine out at nearby shopping centre if you have kids to feed. Will definitely use again for airport use and hotel interesting as it has been constructed within old airport (Speke) building.
It was marvellous. The breakfast was extraordinary, the room service was great, the airport transfer was excellent, amazing bed, lovely room, I could go on and on. We will be back, we will go on holiday again, just so we can have a night in the Marriott!!
We spent the night here prior to an early flight out of Liverpool. We are Marriott Elite members, and expected a pleasant and relaxing evening prior to our flight. The room was nice, but placed directly over the front entrance. People were coming and going at all hours, and there were people standing under our windows talking, laughing and messing about all night. It was after 1:30AM before I fell asleep from shear exhustion - and had to be up for 5:00 to get to the airport. And it was a good thing I set the alarm on my mobile, because the front desk forgot to set my 5AM wakeup call. The next morning I complained at the front desk about the lack of the wakeup call as well as the noise. They explained that, after 23:00 they close the smoking courtyard, and smokers have to use the forecourt to smoke - including the employees. Whilst I would use the hotel again, I would insist on a room at the back of the hotel, well away from the front entrance or the smoker's courtyard. Oh, and I definitely wouldn't count on the wake up service!!
Very pleasant overnight stay, swift transfer to and from airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was a disappointment, although lunch on our return was enjoyed. Room facilities very good, room cleanliness very good. Would stay again.
