Enjoyed a meal and a few hours sleep by travelling 70 miles the night before flying instead of having to get up at 1am, drive 70 miles and then find somewhere to park my car!! Hotel very nice and not too far from the airport.

It was only a one night stay, so it is hard to comment on the whole hotel. Comfortable and good food. Nobody to help with baggage to rooms which is a down point.

The return trip from the airport was outrageous. There was very little storage space for suitcases, consequently seats had to be used. The driver let far too many people on the bus and people were standing all down the aisle. Suitcases were piled high above our heads on seats and had they fallen, could have resulted in a serious accident.

There was a smelly T shirt in the top shelf of the wardrobe...not very important but I felt the room had not been thoroughly gone over because of this.

The service is very friendly and efficient both at reception and at the parking desk. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay before travelling.

The hotel room was good for the money. It could have been a little more modern and new, but it was OK. The parking facility is fantastic and the bus service was excellent and reasonably priced. The bus ticket machine at the hotel does not give change, but this was not sign posted, so several customers lost money in the machine. I suggest a note be posted on the machine. Overall I was very pleased with the hotel and parking facility.

Finding the hotel was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. The food offered was inexpensive and of good quality. Parking arrangements were simple, and the airport transfer was quick, and reliable. I would certainly use this service again.

We thought the hotel was a bit difficult to find in the dark especially the twisty lanes.

I feel that there should be more tea, milk, coffee in the room as we had a drink before bed time then would loved to have been able to have a couple of cups of tea before we set off in the morning.

Advised that the car would not be moved when checked in. But on return it had been moved and all of the in car entertainment, satnav and telephone had been cleared/reset. Suspicious as to how much the vehicle had been moved/used.

The car park was flooded when I returned from holiday and I nearly slipped over in the mud going to collect my car. If my car had not been moved from where I had parked it I would not have been affected by this. Otherwise I have no complaints about the hotel or the transfers to/from airport.

The excellent value for money outweighed the slightly run down appearance. Perfectly OK for the night before an early flight with cheap parking.

It was a great idea staying at the Russ Hill Hotel. Only a short drive from the Airport which we used the coach for, great for £2.50. On the way home we had missed a coach by 15 minutes so got a taxi. Only because we were travelling back to the Isle of Wight and had to catch a ferry, otherwise we would've waited for the next coach. That was only £15. Excellent value for money. All we needed was somewhere to sleep and to leave the car and we were happy with both facilities offered.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are planning a good night's sleep before flying. Walls must be pretty thin, could hear couple next door packing their cases at 3.30 in morning. Also, car park is awful, with huge crater sized 'potholes'

Would definitely use Russ Hill again if flying from Gatwick. Everything seemed well organised and went according to plan. Transfers on time but perhaps could do with being cheaper and more frequent.

It made going to the airport early in the morning so much easier, especially now that you can check in the day before you fly.

Carvery was disappointing. Bathroom tiles badly chipped, shower did not function properly. Cigarette burn in bed cover. Directions via village hall dubious at night. More signs required. Considering cost well worth the visit and would stay in the future.
