I rang the night before arriving to explain that we needed to leave at 7.30am, could we have breakfast a little earlier than that, 7.30am being the time shown on the website for breakfast. I was assured this would be fine but on arriving for breakfast at 7am, there was no-one in sight and when someone finally arrived he said there was no chance of breakfast and that they did not normally start serving until 8am. The towel in the room had a big hole in although it was perfectly clean, a bulb was gone and the plug in the sink was stuck. All these were small things but made us feel that maintenance was not a big issue for them. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant but again, it opened later than specified and many of the items on the menu, including the wine we ordered, were 'off'. This was a comfortable hotel and did have many redeeming features but was much too 'approximate' for us to want to use again.
Simple room wth everything needed for one night stay and safe long stay car parking. Possibly could be a bit more secure.
Convenient location easy to find although web instrucions give misleading info on directions. If you have an opportunity do have a meal as the food is very good - very friendly service also. Room is clean and comfortable.
Friendly service, but arrived at 10pm, too tired to complain about unclean room. Lovely village, but directions to hotel could be improved.
Had to wait 2 hours for a return taxi from the airport after another couple supposedly claimed to be us at the airport. After 6 phone calls taxi that finally turned up to take us(and another couple who had waited an hour)10 minutes up the road said that hotel had not bothered to give them a list of names for return flights that day! Also bad directions to pick up point. Hotel denied this and when we complained they claimed they would compensate us - after several phone calls over 2 months(lost count now) never heard back and no compensation! Will never use again!!
not easy to find in dark despite instructions. poor room in annex - hut like building under sodium parking lights. ill-fitting curtains. Remote for tv missing. Bar run out of cider etc. breakfast an hour later than advertised. relatively early flight - one of the reasons for our choice. altogether disappointing.
I was very tired when I arrived at the hotel. I had driven from Wales. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The following morning, the taxi arrived promptly. On my return, there was no problem with a car pick up from the airport. The evening meal was very good and the staff very friendly. I would certainly use the hotel again.
