Transfers to Stansted Airport
Transfers are via the hotel shuttle bus, which runs every 20 minutes from 04.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 00.00. Cost is £2.00 per person each way. The bus operates from bay number 5 from the bus station at the airport. Please note that no transfers are provided between noon and 16.00, nor between midnight and 04.00. If you are travelling during these hours, please contact the Airport Information Desk for advice on available taxis. A local taxi costs approximately £7.00 to the hotel.
Parking Arrangements
Parking package includes parking on-site at the hotel unless stated at the time of booking. At the hotel's discretion, guests may be asked to take their car to a secure car park opposite the hotel. Parking is at owner's own risk.

The breakfast was VERY basic/poor for a hotel of this standard. However, for a one night airport stopover, the room was good value for money.
A good practical solution to catch early flights making the experience at Stansted not quite so stressful. The hotel performed on all but food, which was little more than pub type grub. Nonetheless, will return as room, shower, transfer (costs 2 GBP pax) and all other facilities were more than adequate. So in general happy.
Arrived 11 pm, shuttle wrongly signposted, making it a long trek. Found shuttle had left promptly, maybe even early, at 11.15. Took Mid-stay shuttle (our car was there), and got to H Inn before next shuttle. Would have parked at H Inn, but they recently imposed an £8 charge. Another trek in the morning, though the staff kindly provided an exit code so I could bring my car in to pick up my wife and our luggage. Holiday Inn should negotiate with BAA to provide a stop on the Mid Stay route (and a footway from the road to the hotel. Guests would get a more frequent, more convenient sevice, and HI would save a lot of trouble for themselves and everyone.
A very convienient and affordable!! way to start or end holiday when flight times are very early or late. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but not the worst I've slept in at a hotel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating (extra blanket and towels upon request etc). To be recommended
Excellent value for money. Rooms are very clean and have been recently updated with new fornitures. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Great facilites and food at hotel but the airport transfers need to run 24 hrs a day so we could return to our car without any hassle. There was not buses when our flight landed so we had to get alternative transport this was only explained when we arrived at the hotel.
Perhaps one comment. The directions for finding the hotel were not as easy as might have been especially as it was getting dark.

Shuttle service is OK, but should be free (everyone uses it). Breakfast adequate-to-good. Room surprisingly quiet, well-equipped and pleasant.
No problems at all - excellent arrangements and facility
A compact but clean and well designed family room for 4 of us. Kids slept on a sofa bed which was adequate. Breakfast was simple but well presented and for the money an excellent stress free start to our skiing holiday. We'd repeat.
In return to my car I found that the nearside back wheel arch had been damaged by another car/trolley or whatever, requiring £200 bodywork repairs!!
Hotel car park was full. Had to unload and move the car to airport parking - await bus and return to hotel. Bit of a pain after a day on the road. Morning transfer to terminal scheduled at 20 min intervals. I wanted the 0500 bus. It showed up at 0510 and then waited till 0520 before departing. If I'd needed the 0520 bus, I'd have travelled at 0520 - a few minutes make all the difference on early departures from Stansted.
I arrived and was a sold a ticket on the shuttle bus, I was then informed that I would need to move my car out of the hotel to the midterm car park, I pointed out if this was the case I would have my shuttle fare back and move my car in the morning and catch the midterm shuttle bus. (By this point it was late and I did not want move the car.) The receptionist refused! It was only when I asked to see the manager that the situation was resolved and I was 'allowed' to park at the hotel. Moral of this-before buying a shuttle ticket check where you will be parking!
I would not chose to travel from Stanstead, as Birmingham is our first choice. However, the Express by Holiday Inn option, with parking, made the experience considerably better

I booked and paid for 8 days' parking but I don't have a car. Perhaps the booking page should be modified so this mistake isn't made so easily.
The parking was offsite from the hotel; which should really have been stated before booking. The hotel bus driver at beginning was dangerous, moving off violently whilst passengers were trying to stow heavy luggage, causing 2 people to fall. Otherwise, a good hotel experience; convenient and of a fair standard.
hotel and parking for the price of just parking,nice hotel,5 minutes to terminal with hotel transfers.a must if you have an early flight.
The overall stay was satisfactory but we found Reception staff to be "surly" and not particularly helpful. On the contrary, the gentleman who was on duty in the Breakfast Room at 6.00am was cheerful and helpful.

From the M25:
- Exit at Junction 27, signposted M11 Stansted Airport.
- Exit the M11 at Junction 8a, signposted Stansted Airport, and follow the signs for the Terminal.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and the hotel is situated on the right-hand side.
From the M11 Southbound:
- Exit the M11 at Junction 8 and take the 1st exit off the roundabout, following signs for the Terminal and A120.
- Exit the A120 at the slip road, signposted Stansted Airport.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and the hotel is situated on the right-hand side.
From the A120 Westbound:
- Exit the A120, following signs for Stansted Airport, and follow the road crossing over the dual carriageway.
- At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and the hotel is situated on the right-hand side.
By Rail:
- The Stansted Express rail service runs directly from London Liverpool Street Station to London Stansted Airport.
- From the airport terminal there is a hotel shuttle bus which operates from bays 5 and 6 in the coach park. (Service operates from 04.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 00.00.)
By Air:
- From the airport terminal there is a hotel shuttle bus, which operates from bays 5 and 6 in the coach park. (Service operates from 04.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 00.00.)
