On the day that we dropped off the car, although the service was very efficient, one of the staff was a bit off hand with us. The other was very helpful and polite.

This is the email which has been sent to APH Customer Services: Good Afternoon, Above vehicle was parked at your facility from 22nd August - 5th September. When the vehicle came in it was in full working order with half a tank of diesel as it was filled up in Kenilworth which is 17.4 miles away from your facility. We have the receipts of this transaction as the vehicle is used for a business. The vehicle was dropped off at 6.26pm on the 22nd August. When we arrived back into Birmingham Airport at 05.05am I rang the number which we were given and the bus picked us up. We arrived back to collect the vehicle at around 06.15am to be told by a very short tempered and rude gentleman that 'it could not be moved as we could not get it out of first gear'! We went to have a look at the vehicle ourselves and indeed there was no gears whatsoever. We returned back to the office to find out: 1. Why we were not informed at the time that the vehicle was moved which I presume would have been the day that the vehicle was dropped off 2. How were we to get home. As explained to the receptionist - if we had been informed immediately we could have arranged alternative transport home and for the vehicle to be collected by our breakdown people. We were informed that the gentleman who had told us about the vehicle was in fact the Manager but had just left (it must have been 5 minutes at the most since he had told us). I would have thought as he was the Manager he would have come out with us and explained in more detail what had happened and tried to sort out what we were to do. Luckily there was a very kind gentleman who allowed us to use the pool car to get us home and it was agreed that we would arrange for the vehicle to be collected by Axa Breakdown and we would return your pool car on Monday. Whilst we were loading the car up with our suitcases one of your employees got into his own BMW with sign writing on it and wheel sped like a bat out of hell out of your parking facility in front of customers!! This did not fill me with much confidence and if his own vehicle is being driving in that fashion how does he drive customers vehicles?! Axa picked the vehicle up and it was taken to a garage of our choice in Coventry. When the vehicle reached the garage it was found to have (so far): No fuel - There is no way that a journey of 17.4 miles would use half a tank of diesel Wheel alignment was completely out No gears Now comes the question of where we go from here. I would like to know in the first instance your timescales of vehicles being dropped off and being parked by your employees?

Better signage for entry gate, maybe a sign between the two ates stating entry and exit.We joked that the car may not start as we had not used it for 2 weeks ,how lovely to have a message in the car to say that the battery had been flat and the staff had got the engine turning and advised us that they were on hand if we had any other difficulties.Absolutely would use APL again and will be recommending to friends and family
