Overall a good service, no worries about being late to the airport or getting up half way through the night. However, food was expensive for what it was and the planes overhead kept us awake most of the night.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, absolutely disgusting. The room stunk, was poorly decorated and so small you couldn't sit on the toilet without your knees banging into the sink. The shower did not work at all and I don't think I would have used it anyway, it was dirty. The food in the restaurant was still frozen when served. Everything about this hotel is awful.

The hotel was ideal for staying one night before your holiday, the food looked nice but we didn't eat as it was overpriced! As there were 4 of us in our party we found it cheaper to book a taxi to take us to the airport than use the hotels coach. Overall a very pleasant stay and it saved us the stress of getting up extra early and the risk of getting stuck in any traffic. Would use again.

It is clear that this hotel has little to offer other than cheap airort parking. Getting checked in would have been quicker if the staff had been trained. £44.00 for 2 pizzas and a bottle of wine is expensive. The room was in need of refurbishment and poor in so many ways.

As we had an early flight it was excellent to have extra time to sleep. It was also the start of our holiday - we had a relaxing evening at the hotel, a meal and a few drinks, very pleasant. When we returned our car was waiting for us by the hotel entrance. I have recommended to many of my friends and will definitely use their facilities in the future.

This was good value for money with the parkng included. It was an easy transfer and I would stay there again if flying early from Gatwick. Lovely surroundings.

Great hotel for an overnight stay, cheap and close to Gatwick airport - I would not consider staying for more than one night because the rooms are small and badly in need of modernisation.

In future would rather pay a bit more to stay at the Copthorne or similar and be assured of a comfortable room/bed for the night. Breakfast was not very good. Would not stay at Russ Hill Hotel again, albeit the location was good. Transfer to airport - no assistance with suitcases. Lack of staff at Russ Hill Hotel to assist with luggage. Had to wait 45 mins for transfer coach from airport back to hotel. Coaches should run more often (as other hotel coaches do).

This was a nice hotel in pleasent surroundings, good value.

Found the Russ Hill to be a well run, clean and friendly establishment. It set us up for a great holiday and would definitely use them again.

A very basic hotel. Don't expect any finery! Coach transfer was a bit of a white knuckle ride down narrow winding roads. Car in one piece on our return.

As we had an early flight we needed a good night's sleep before our journey. This hotel was friendly, provided a good meal and very satisfactory transfer to the airport, all at a very reasonable price. We would choose the same again.

I found that the pick up times from the airport were not frequent enough. 1 hour between pick ups was too long, compared to other services where they were 15-20 minutes.

It says it's a couple of miles from Gatwick, but in reality it seems in the middle of nowhere. The meals in the hotel were expensive, luckily there is a Hungry Horse not 5 mins back into the village. It cost £8 for 2 adults 2 kids each way on the coach, and it only comes every hour. We got a taxi back from the airport to save waiting which cost £12. All told, I would pay the extra £20 next time to say at the Hilton or nearer to Gatwick.

Really good tranfers to the airport; no worrying about not getting there on time, and drivers very helpful.

We have been to The Russ Hill 5 times now and would return again.

Had to walk a long way to get to room due to a wedding going on on the same night, which was annoying. Got to room and only had 4 channels on TV and was supposed to be non smoking room but smelt of smoke.

The noise from the party going on until the early hours of the morning caused great disturbance and kept us awake.

It would be great if the hotel had a lift as my case was very heavy and I found it difficult to take up all the flights of stairs.

I needed cheap accommodation & the £46 single room was about the cheapest I could find near Gatwick. The evening I stayed I ordered soup, which I was told was tomato & basil. When it arrived it was vegetable. No major problems, & pleasant reception staff.
