Apart from a check-in problem (given a double-bed room when we'd booked a family room with two beds), the experience was great. Room was comfortable and perfectly adequate/good value for an airport hotel. The food was surprisingly good. A bit slow on the service but then it was a busy night. The staff (apart from a glacially slow and ultimately incorrect receptionist who gave us keys to a non-family room when that's exactly what we'd booked)were great. In fact when I asked one of the restaurant staff if there was a concierge to sort out my 'wrong' room, he (Jay) immediately went to the check-in desk to sort it out for me with a supervisor. I will definitely use Premier-Inn from now on. Its good value, good service, comfortable, the food is affordable & sensible with a good menu with something for everyone.

The barrier for getting into the hotel car park was not working too well and therefore causing a traffic jam. When we were checking in and enquiring about our booking for the long stay carpark the lady who was dealing with us first of all tried to charge us again(we had already paid) and she didnt seem too know anything about the long stay carpark. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

Owing tothe volcanic ash, 600 unexpected passengers arrived, making chaos of the booking in. But cleared pretty quickly. So, efficient. Happy enough.

There is a free phone in the hotel lobby to request a taxi. I don't know if there is any arrangement/connection between the hotel and this service. Bearing in mind the hotel is stated to be less than one mile from the terminal the fare was a prohibitive £12. The fare I paid from Euston station to Premier Inn the evening before was £30!! One assumes that a "taxi" has a meter, this one does't. This information should be available, as this was the only "sour note" of my stay.

We arrived and went straight to our room. We ate elsewhere on this occasion howewver, we have eaten in the restaurant and were very happy with the service and the food. Our check out and transfer to the airport was without any problems. We will not hesitate to stay with you when we fly out next year.
