parking arrangements
All cars booked for parking packages will be parked in a secure compound within the grounds of the hotel which has a gated entrance, is fully fenced, floodlit and manned 24 hours a day. Extra days' parking are charged at £3.00 per day.

UPDATE 27-08-2009: The hotel has recently resurfaced their car park, installed new security cameras and gates, and employed a security company to look after the car park for added peace of mind.

  • Lunch and evening meals are not available on the 25th and 31st of December 2008 and the 1st of January 2009.
  • Dinner will not be available on the 25th and 31st of December unless attending a booked event taking place at the hotel.
  • Bar meals will be available until approximately 7pm on the 31st December.
  • Triple rooms consist of a double bed and a single bed.
  • Quad rooms consist of one double bed and one adult-sized bunkbed. If these rooms are all sold, one double bed and two put-up beds will be put into the room (this does not leave much space in the room).

Bar prices a bit extortionate. Otherwise no salient cost issue. Booking ourselves in was very efficient and friendly. Booking the car was a negative memorable experience with a long wait until the mini-bus driver returned from the airport. Booking in cars could easily be done at the normal reception desk rather than the clumsy way it is done at present. Poor visibility at gates could result in gates moving inward and striking a vehicle waiting to exit. I had some anxiety as it was foggy but remembered the gates from a previous visit. Some illuminated signage to this effect and notification at desk and/or rear door into car park would promote greater safety. The notice about "no suitcases beyond this point" seems superfluous. Who would want to lug a suitcase out there and over the rough terrain? Why not remove that notice and replace it with a helpful one instead, as suggested above. A very positive experience Hotel staff service excellent. Room was basic but clean and nice & quiet. Transfer service was also very good.

Room a little dated could do with being decorated. The receiption and handing over of my car was good. The food in the dining room was good but I will book an evening meal the next time I use the Normandy good value for money and the transfer service to and from the airport was good.

Not wishing to really pick holes in things I will go from the dinning room to the bar for a drink. i did object being charged 70p for brining the drink 50 yards into the dining room

I was travelling alone, was made to feel very welcome by all Staff members, reception, bar, dining area, car parking, transfers to airport all Staff very professional, informative excellent service. Room facilities very comfortable and dining experience excellent, a special thank you to the bar staff who took the time to converse when i arrived in the afternoon ensuring a warm welcome this professionism was shown by all Staff members involved and I will certainly be using the hotel again.

we use the normandy whenever we fly from glasgow and are never disappointed.flying is stressful enough but knowing we will be well rested the night before and the car will be safe means we can enjoy our holiday all the more. never let us down.very happy returning customer:-)
