Newcastle Airport Parking options
When it comes to parking at Newcastle Airport, we know our stuff here at gosimply HQ. Here's a handy breakdown on the types of car park available.
- On-airport parking. Car parks located within the perimeter road. Convenient and time-saving for those that need it.
- Off-airport parking. Newcastle off-airport car parks offer quick free transfers to the terminal building for those with a little extra time and looking for the best price.
- Meet and Greet A favourite during the winter months, or maybe you just feel like being posh for the day. This rather useful service means you can drop off your car at the terminal and it will be waiting for you on your return. For those that enjoy a simpler life.
Newcastle Airport Directions
The A1 is the main route leading to Newcastle International Airport and bypasses Newcastle City Centre. It takes around an hour and 15 minutes to drive to Newcastle airport from Carlisle, 2 hours from Edinburgh, 3 hours from Manchester, and a mere 45 minutes from Sunderland. When travelling by car to one of the Newcastle Airport parking facilities, you should allow extra time for possible road works and unforseen traffic congestion along the way.
- From the South - Take the A1 northwards which will bypass Newcastle City Centre and will then join up with the upgraded A696 and take you straight to the airport.
- From the West - Coming from the west, taking the A69, you will find it will join up with the A1 which bypasses the city centre, connects to the A696 and takes you directly to the airport.
- From the North - The A1 is the main road from the North, leading directly to Newcastle Airport via the A696. If coming from Edinburgh you can take the A68/A696 which provides a direct route to the airport. Those coming from Carlisle or Glasgow will find the journey even easier due to a recent upgrade to the A74.
In addition to car parking at Newcastle Airport we also offer Durham Tees Valley Airport Parking for the north east of the England.
