I thought the staff were not very helpfull did not take to explain where i would find bar and eating.as i said somwhere to sleep.

Hotel was very good and good value too. We asked for a meal from room service and it was also good value and came promptly and was pleasantly served.

I would do this again, means that you start your holiday early and not stressing the next morning to get to the airport. Only £15 more than parking alone so good value.

Extremly good Hotel, well priced.comfortable. Bedrroom was excellent as was ensuite. Staff were polite and curtious. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Will definately use hotel again.

We arrived at the hotel to find that somebody had already booked in our name. The young man at reception had altered my initial to suit the people booking into our room!! Oh and the name of the hotel had changed the day before - which we weren't aware - so when we arrived we could not find the name of the hotel, we thought we were in the wrong hotel when they couldn't find us on their register!!! Happy days

Hotel could improve the restaurant decor and bar. Both in need of an update as both appear cold and unwelcoming. Also menu choice very limited. Otherwise nice hotel.

Positive experience overall, booked basic room online but was offered room upgrade for £30 when checking in, this included larger room, free access to executive lounge, inclusive of breakfast for 2 people and 2 shuttle bus tickets to airport normally £5 per person each way. Would probably stay here again as good experience although cost of food in restaurant quite high and due to location no option to go elsewhere.

Didnt like the bar areas, TV on but no sound just loud music in the background. Should be one or the other or one in one area etc. Otherwise ideally located and good service.

Fantastic hotel.......Bad bus transfer to terminal. It was only 5 min but was packed and no room for ski stuff and large bags..Made a bad start to the holiday. Next time I will arrange for a taxi. If traveling with kids or elderly, forget it. Get a taxi.

I was going abroad to get married. everyone knows this is a stressful time so to go down to the hotel the night before was great. all my stresses went away and I had a great nights sleep. This was helped by the extremely good staff. Nicola

A decent hotel for one night, lovely staff - don't rely on the shuttle bus times - allow plenty of time as it takes AGES! The pool area was really tatty and water filthy. Overall, a pleasant place.

Would highly recommend The Renaissance Hotel. Stayed in a "Family Room" which was very comfortable for four. Frequent coaches to the airport, very good food and service. All for the same price as a return taxi to the airport from home.

As we are regular travellers we try various hotels but never the same one twice as they are usually OK but nothing special. On this occasion we will stick with this hotel for all outward journeys. It was a very good hotel and the beds very very comfy and had a very comfortable night's sleep.

Only issue was with transfers,loke I said trip from Hotel was poor return trip not much better. i would definetly use the Rennaisance again but not keen on the transfer bus. is there another option ?

The service worked well. We were able to relax the evening before our flight, and then even though we returned early in the morning (2 AM), the bus service worked well, and we were able to retrieve our car easily from the hotel, and get quickly on the road home.

We would definately stay again before flying out in the morning. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. Upon our return we found that our car battery was flat and at the drop of a hat, a porter appeared with a battery starter pack and got us going staight away. The only down side was that the room we were in had a connecting door the room next to us and the couple who were staying in that room were partaking in some extremely loud and energetic bedroom gymnastics from 2am until 6am!! I had to wrap a pillow around my head to drown out the awful noise she was making. Apart from that, everything was fine.

I would thoroughly reccomend this beautiful hotel to anyone considering staying over the night before their flight. I have used several airport hotels in the gatwick area and this the best by far. If you want elegance, class ,superb rooms and facilities this is most definitely the hotel for you.

staff very friendly and helpfull. room very comfitable good facilities. great location close enough to gatwick airport for a short transfer , and far enough away so there was no noise from the airport or main road.

We were waiting for the shuttle bus at the reception. The woman on reception didnt tell us we have to wait outside so we missed it and had to pay £10 for a taxi - So rememeber to wait outside for the bus!
