great location for gatwick airport quick and easy caught bus outside of hotel in morning on departure and the bus was waiting outside aiport on our return back from holiday downside was struggling with suitcases on arrival of hotel (7pm) no porter around to help

Our holiday was our honeymoon as we just got married. When we booked the hotel we were told it was a double room with a queen size bed. When we checked in we were put in a twin room as they had none left. Not the best way to start your honeymoon in two single seperate beds.

On arrival we were met by the Renaissance hotel's superb front reception team. The hotel was overall of a high standard, great facilities. We were upgraded - which was excellent. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast, good quality room and a very good and easy airport bus transfer. On coming home same superb service - we will definitely be staying again and are telling all our friends. Overall - the Best.

My family were all delighted with the room for one night before flying to America. The children loved the seperate department with their two beds in linked to the parents room. Thank you.

We stayed at the Gatwick Renaissance prior to our holiday and at the end of our holiday, something we've not done before but we would do so again. The staff, without exception, were very welcoming, helpful and polite which really made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall this hotel was fine for a brief stay. However the Health Spa was more like a leisure centre than a relaxing, pleasant experience. Would maybe try a couple of other hotels near Gatwick before returning to this particular one.

The hotel was ok, the only thing that wasn't was the air con in the room blew warm so we had to keep the window open, then all we heard were the planes all nite long. Also the food and drinks were very exspensive in the hotel.

Excellent facilities in the Hotel, and to be able to park in a secure area for the term of the holiday was perfect. Courtesy bus was great and made the transfer to and from Aiport easy. Would definitely use again.

This is a five star hotel with excellent service. The only disappointment was the Diner menu in the restaurant. Food was very good, but the selection was limited. Last year the menu was excellent. Hope the comments help.

Offered an upgrade for £30 which was well worth the money: free transfers to the airport, breakfast, free extra day's parking and use of 'executive' lounge. We would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.

Very good choice of hotel - restful and with very pleasant staff. Make sure you are early for your airport transfer, there were loads of people leaving at 4.30am and standing room only on the coach back.

The Renaissance was adequately clean and comfortable, but the dining available was of a very low standard and much over-priced. Very smokey bar and bistro, both of which were as uncomfortable as and looked like airport bars and cafes.

Quad room, separate area for kids beds which was good [ages 17+14}, friendly reception and bar areas and great jukebox for over 40s! Best Gatwick Hotel stayed at so far and will use again.

Hotel was very nice and is located close to North Terminal, chargeable bus service was good (not run by hotel though)it goes to South Terminal before North so if you are in a hurry get a Taxi. My car was moved (not far) during my holiday but was still in good condition upon my return, therefore I am happy.

The only problem for me was the actual cleanliness of the pool, the water looked somewhat murky, but that was my only problem.

The hotel is great. Rooms are spacious and clean and staff are efficient and pleasant. The parking was included for 15 days and was at the hotel - so no transferring your car to the airport carpark or collecting it from another carpark etc. The downside was that you have to pay £2.50 each way for the transfer to the airport terminal (£5 per person in total if you get the transfer to and from the terminal) - it is cheaper to get a taxi if there are more than 3 persons (£8 one way) and the taxi is quicker - the bus picks up and drops off at other hotels and at both terminals). The hotel though is great - beware of typical inflated prices for drinks at the hotel bar.
