We have stayed at various airport parking hotels and we found the Britannia Country House hotel one of the worst we have stayed at. No parking available at the hotel, the restaurant had rain coming through the ceiling, which the staff did not seem to care about, and we had to take our own car to the secure parking some 10mins away. We certainly will not be staying there again!

This hotel is ideal if you want to have an overnight stay before flying from Manchester. Staff very friendly, rooms well-equipped & clean, restaurant excellent value for money. Airport transfer excellent. Fantastic value for money.

Nightmare!! There was a wedding party on the Saturday night we used the hotel. The loud music went on until the early hours and the guests were arguing and shouting for most of the night.

This hotel was excellent. We arrived at the airport relaxed and ready for our holiday. Would recommend to everyone.

The hotel rooms looked a little tired to be honest, but they were clean. Trying to get parked in the hotel grounds was a nightmare. All in all it was cheap and convenient. We'd use the hotel again.

We had no problems to speak of. The transfer on return was spot on time, which was good as it was a late night arrival flight. The rooms were fine for a one night stay. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but was still useable. It was good value for money; we would use the hotel again.

It was a small vehicle for transfer to airport - only held 8 people although there was about 30 people waiting, luckily we were near front of queue and got the first bus - don't know what happened to the rest.

Very good value; lovely hotel, and the pool was the icing on the cake. Staff and bus driver very helpful , and the staff when having our dinner received our free bottle of wine. Very satisfied and have told some friends already. Thanks again; can't praise you enough - such good value.

Would not recommend this hotel. The room was dirty, the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. I was worried about my car being parked for a week whilst on holiday abroad, because when we arrived about 6 six cars had been broken into and items stolen (sat nav's etc). The airport transfer was ok, but was only once on the hour when we wanted to use it.

The Britannia Country House gave us good value for money and met our needs for an overnight stay before an early flight, and two weeks parking. The transfer to and from airport was punctual and reliable.

I'm happy to have found Britannia Country House Hotel. It was very convenient for an early flight, and made an easy start to our holiday. The meal in the restaurant was most enjoyable and excellent value. The room was comfortable and clean, and the coach to and from the airport very helpful. We shall certainly stay again when we take our next flight to the USA.

It was easy acess to the motorway and airport. The staff were good and friendly. Room was tidy and pleasant.

Would not stay again. Rooms were small, smelly, out of date and very uncomfortable. The mattress was that old the springs stuck out of the bed! The bar was OK and had the football on so that was one bonus. Parking was a nightmare. There were no spaces on arrival, so had to park outside main gates; next to several cars with smashed windows that had been broken into. Consequently couldn't drink and relax all night as waited for a space to come free in the main car park so I could move my car to safer surroundings. On return from holiday there were 6 cars with their windows smashed in the area I originally parked in. Was then pleased I'd moved the car into the main grounds of the hotel. For the sake of £40 and staying in a nice hotel on site at the airport I would recommend you pay the extra. £40 is nothing when you have a crap night's sleep before going away and the chance you may come back to a car that has been broken into!

Our experience of the hotel, parking and transfer service were on the whole pretty good. The room was nice enough, clean, ideal for one night before an early flight. The transfer coach service was great, in both directions, although we only just caught it on our return journey and had we missed it, would have had to wait for quite a while for the next coach. On arrival at the hotel however, it was chaos. Despite a huge (full) carpark, there seems nowhere to park whilst you check in, very annoying. We also noticed at least two cars which had been broken into whilst parked in the 'secure' on-site parking facility. Whilst our experience was fairly positive, there are certainly a few things that the hotel could do to improve the overall service.

The hotel is old and run down, the room needed a good clean and updating, it smelt musty. The phone in the room did not work, I had to go to Reception to order room service, they gave me a phone to do it! The food came without any condiments or utensils. There was no security chain on the room door. Overall experience was awful and I will not use again.

The room we were first allocated was very small, the bathroom had a very strong smell of sewerage(I think this room had not been used in a while). Contacted reception (lady was very helpful), then moved to a slightly larger room down the corridor. (marginally better, thankfully no smell)

Arrived at the hotel quite tired, so fed up to have to spend over 20 minutes trying to park. Got what appeared to be the last space under a crumbling wall and weakly supported tree. Security looked good but car park conditions leave much to be desired. Would have been nice to have had a space reserved and ready to drive straight into! Not sure where I would have gone if I couldn't have found one. Room was tiny but fine for overnighting prior to early morning flight. Hot chocolate - very welcome sight!
