The hotel was full of drunken,noisy (Man United)football fans. The noise lasted till 4.30am.The coach did not pick us up on our return journey and we phoned the hotel three times and got no joy out of the hotel staff. We had to pay for a taxi back to the hotel at 3.00am to pick our car up.Very unprofessional attitude shown by hotel staff.

Good value for money. Decor needs tarting up in bedrooms. Pleasant staff but slow check-in. Courtesy bus wait of 40 mins on arrival at airport so used taxi (£10). Food quality reasonable but limited choice and a lot of that was out of stock! (hard to tell why as most of it could have been from a freezer). Having said that it suited our needs and was a good price for a family of 4 in one room, so I would stay there again.

We stayed on the night of 14th April, to be honest we couldn't fault it, if I were being pickie, the checking in staff could have been a little more welcoming ! but overall a very good experience would do again.

Far better than I expected. The room was excellent (upgraded by chance!) It was a reallly relaxed start to the holiday. The man who helped us park the car was helpful and gave useful tips about storing SatNav in the boot. Would use this hotel again and recommend it to anyone going via Manchester Airport

Excellent due to go to Prague for my 60th birthday and did not want to have to travel in the early hours for flight. Chose the hotel as able to park car and near to airport. A good choice lovely setting,relaxing room good, liked the opportunity of gym and pool and if lively nightclub. The food was good was going to do the italian but due to good variety of choices in the buffet including fish and pasta wife doesn't eat meat so really appreciated range. Only gripe we assumed as with other airport hotels that on return would just contact hotel and a shuttle would come however did not know until we were here that the transfers are by a timetable and had missed the tranfer and next one was 45mins which is a long time when you then have a 2 hour drive in the middle of the night. Also when picked up from airport the driver swapped with another driver at the first hotel no issue there but the second driver spent a good 5 mins chatting on his mobile to his friend about his job blab blab. Not impressed when we had already waited 45 mins to be picked and then wait for him to finish his personal call so we did not get home till 3am

We were not informed that the hotel is udergoing refurbishment the resturant smelt of paint. I asked for a glass of water it looked like spit on the glass it was distgusting. on our return stay we were put in a room at the other end of the hotel where work was still in progress it was up three flights of stairs and nthe lift was out of order they exspected us to carry the cases up at midnight, we ask for another room and they just said they were full so we ended up leaving our cases in the managers room. we will not book here again

Car Parking was great with a quick transfer to the Airport, however on return we had to take a taxi as we missed the coach back and would have had to wait an hour for the next not very good when you have just had 8 hours on a plane. The Restaurant was dire we sent back both meals Pizza was uncooked and the Panini we ordered was cold, the chips we had also contained two onion rings that were obviously left over from someone else. The service was also very poor. All the hotel accept is cash you cannot charge anything to your room.

we only spent one night here. we were upgraded to a jaccuzzi bathroom but felt that the nozzles hadn't been cleaned so we didn't use it. The hotel served a purpose although when transport arrived not everyone could get on although it had to be booked on check in.

The hotel is pretty shabby, the reception staff were unhelpful. The coach transfer was fully booked so I had to book a taxi, which I had to pay for, no one offered to arrange or pay this for me. Breakfast wasn't included so I don't know about the quality of the food, but the drinks in the bar weren't great - warm wine, dirty tables, overcrowded. But, it was cheap and convenient for one night only. The car park is full of pot holes, but the car was still there when we got back, undamaged, and I guess thats what we paid for.

no pick up service on return - had hire private taxi to get back to carpark - after 45 minute waiting for apparently non existent bus service, rang to check & received very poor advice from hotel on bus service - advised one was due in another 40 minutes??

Could do with bigger beds, as my husband had to get up in the night and sleep in the bunk bed which was in our room. Other than that we were happy with our choice of hotel.Would stay again in the future.

Were told on arrival that we couldn't park at the hotel for the duration of our holiday, so we had to drive to the airport at 2.30am and use the airport parking... and we had planned to go out until our airport transfer, so thats was then scuppered. However, this dd mean on our return we were back in our car fairly quickly as the airport parking was very good - we just wish we had been told prior to going to the hotel that we wouldn't be able to park there all week!

Our room was above main entrance therefore smoke was coming into our room. Also the airport transfer coach was parked outside with his engine running and sounding his horn during the night. We would definately stay again but would want a different room.

Only 1 restaurant open, a little disappointing although the receptionist gave us the telephone number for the local take away and we had pizza delivered to our hotel room!! Will definitely be staying again - excellent value for money!!

I used this hotel for a sleepover in order to catch an early flight from manchester airport. And also park my car there for the duration of the holiday. I found the hotel very adequate for this purpose. The staff were very helpful and friendly and efficient. And the transfer buses very good. The actual cost was very good considering the parking of the car!

We were appalled at this hotel.The hotel was being refurbished,It was like a building site. No heating as when we turned the radiator,brown sludge came out down walls onto floor. We asked for another room the manager was the worst manager ever,no help.We had an early flight the next morning we were still waiting afor a room at 9.30pm.The second room was disgusting breaking all Health& safety,the toilet bowl was brown,dirty towels were shoved in a corner of the bathroom,we took pictures on our mobile and asked for the duty manager to come to the room we waited half an hour we had to go back to reception.We showed all the pictures,the bar manager Andrew was more helpul. When we came off M/Way passed similarly named Britannia Airport Hotel which was slightly confusing; however, trusted the sat/nav which took us to the Britannia Country House Hotel, a mile further on. Good quality hotel, with on site parking, at a bargain price. Very satisfied.

Large comfortable room- excellent standard and value for money Leisure facilities used-good start to the holiday.Transport to the airport punctual. Disco music from the function room disturbed a good nights sleep

I travel from Manchester on a regular basis usually involving an early flight & have always found Brittania Hotels value for money. This was my first time at Brittania Country House & I would certainly use the hotel again

our first room did not have a tv that worked with a remote and was unable to switch stations. They did not have enough TV remotes for all their rooms. They gave us a room change and this room the tv worked bed mattress was better than the first room but one lamp next to the bed was broke under the shade and very dusty. They said they would give us a wake up call but they never did
