Car Park was a bit hectic. No parking spaces and quite poorly lit. No tarmac either, so getting cases to and from the hotel was a bumpy ride. Other than that, was very happy with the service.

It was sufficient for what we needed for one night and as a family of 6 it is always difficult to find good quality accommodation without taking a suite or 3 rooms!!

For price, good value but hotel desperately needs a refurb, ok for 1 night prior to flight but not for any great lenghth of time, evening meal/breakfast had better also had a lot worse again value for money but no frills; would use again if only down to cost.

The room was so cold that we had to ask for a fan heater. The fact that one was supplied suggests that the hotel has a regular problem. Pick-up from the airport was not clearly shown and the customer service at the hotel was unable to advise the pick-up times.

The return coach was 50 mins late. (it was a stormy night though) but according to the driver, the previous coach driver had not followed correct procedures in reporting problem. Overall v satisfactory. thanks.

Transport between hotel and airport infrequent, especially noticeable in bad weather. Coach Driver not particularly helpful.

The room was very basic and old fashioned, but clean. The air conditioning unit was very noisy and there wasn't much hot water, but it was still reasonable value for money.

I will never stay in this Hotel or others in group again - no hot water - lost keys to cellar- no beer - jacuzzi was tepid In our bedroom - only 1 plug point - looked like Lady Penelope had got her pink paintbrush out in the bathrooms - re-enamelled bath that was chipped. 15 minute wait in restaurant after sat down before being offered a drink - whole Hotel was shabby and tatty - ie frayed carpets on stairs to male changing room - transfer coach arrived 15 mins late - at one point actually thought we were being subjected to a practical joke...! Truly terrible.

I think the hotel is going through some sort of refurbishment and we were caught in the middle of it. No hot water for showers, bare plaster walls, dirty carpets. Not a very nice stay.

The Britannia Country House Hotel is a lovely place. We love the jacuzzi bath in the rooms, the large airy room and the grande look of the establishment. The only things we would make negative comment on are a) it would be handy to know beforehand what times the transfer buses are due to collect from the airport, b) having just flown back from Barbados on Friday 24th November, we didn't relish the Christmas carols being played at breakfast, as well as at dinner time! (That brought our 'holiday feeling' sharply to an end!) c) and more importantly, the dinner in the restaurant was lovely and tasty but not too hot. The combination of that and the room being cold also made the food (and us!) go cold even more quickly than maybe should have been the case. Other than those points, the stay (albeit a brief overnight stay) was very good. Unfortunately we were given a room that was nothing like the one we had in a previous stay, so we asked to change, (which was accommodated to us easily and without fuss), but we never got to use the lovely jacuzzi bath, as jet lag set in and we slept most of the time!!)If the room were cheaper (maybe £45.00 per night) we would definitely stay more often and for longer. Thank you for asking us our point of view. We hope our comments help and you feel you can add them to your website.
