The room was clean and tidy. The hotel is easy to get toand within easy reach of Manchester Airport. There is a free airport shuttle but the bus was full so we were unable to get on it. The hotel staff booked and paid for a taxi for us to the airport instead. The hotel is old fashioned and is in need of refurbishment but is fine for an overnight stay. I wouldn't like to stay there any longer than 1 night.

We had trouble finding a parking space on arrival and although there was a car park attendant he did not offer to help. The hotel room was great for our needs. We had to get to the airport early next morning and the shuttle bus arrived on time, unfortunately there was not enough room for everybody and some of us had to wait for taxis to arrive. When we returned from holiday I rang the hotel to check the time of the next bus, only to be told it would be another hour. As we had a long journey ahead we decided to get a taxi, which added about £12 to our bill. Would be happy to use the hotel again, but not the parking.

Quite a few cars vandalised. No proper car park or organisation for parking and not secure. Food appalling. Decor awful & water dripping thru light fittings. Rooms dingy & when nightclub open VERY noisy. ONLY good thing was the airport buses - clean & on-time with helpful drivers.

The hotel parking was OK for us as it was not a busy time so we could park very close to the hotel, but I would not like to use their parking when it was busy as you would have to leave your car well away from the hotel in an open area which gets vandalised. Apart from this aspect the hotel itself was fine, and the transfers to the airport very good.

Our stay was one big disaster from start to finish. We could not get parked at the hotel and the information given about parking at the airport was poor and not accurate. The rooms were filthy with not hot water which was reported four times eventually after a heated call to reception it was fixed at midnight and we were leaving at six in the morning. The service in the resturant was prro and we had to ask to get the table cleaned, we also had to ask for napkins. I have written a 3 page letter to Britannia Hotels regarding our stay. To cap it all wew were standing outside waiting on a taxi at six oclock in the morning when my wife was spat upon by someone fron the top floor. You have guessed right we definately will not be using this hotel again.

Firstly, the directions to get to the hotel were appalling. When we finally found it there was only one person at the check-in desk so we had to wait ages. The lady gave us incorrcet information when we asked about where we could eat as we found out the restaurant was not open on Sunday. The room was extremely difficult to find and the lift was tiny (could only just fit 1 person and a suitcase). The corridor to the room smelled of cigarettes and damp as one room had a pool of water flowing out from under the door that had not been cleaned. The room itself was small, old & grubby. We had to make do with a pizza from the hotel which was disgusting. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

the hotel was having a refit when we arrived it was terrible. several cars had been broken into before we got there so we had to park at the airport parking near terminal three.the service was poor the prices on drinks were high £3.50 for a brandy and coke. we dident sleep one bit the bed was hard and had ciggarete burns and wine stains amongst others. I would only stay there again if there had been a bomb blast by terrorists and that was the only safe place to go. overall im surprised we didnt come away with scabies.

Only two people on reception to book customers in. Result long wait. The staff were pleasant but obvioulsly stressed. No one asked if we had had a good stay on checkout. Hotel cleanliness - Very poor. Bedroom - Door lock faulty, room very worn and not very clean looking and the bed springs were poking through. Consequently suffered bad back following morning. Restaurant - Food quality generally good, however, we had to wait for a table with several others even though there were plenty of tables empty. You did'nt have anywhere enough staff on duty. The few that were working were visibly stressed. I felt sorry for them. This is the worst experience I have had in a hotel anywhere.

We were overall very pleased with the value for money Hotel and parking. Could be better if rooms were sound proofed. This Hotel is in need of an update but its the old adage you gets what you pay for and it was certainly value for very little money.

poor condition of hard standing areas transfer from airport on fixed schedule - just missed one - had to wait 90 minutes for next pick-up Unable to drop directly outside hotel due to work outside hotel entrance getting away from hotel not easy if you don't know area - took ages to find road home that I required - no sat-nav in my car ! Hotel big and okay. Worth the money for overnight with parking but minor niggles which might only really apply to my circumstances.

Worst experience of unhelpful and rude hotel reception staff I have come across. Total disinterest and could'nt care less. There was no secure parking on hotel grounds had to park outside hotel grounds. Hotel parking was full, staff could not careless where you left your car. There was no check on car registration as to weather or not you had paid for parking. On the return trip there was no bus at the airport to return to the hotel to collect car waited over 30mins dispite being told by the hotel the bus would be there in 10mins. had to pay for a taxi.Hotel experience totally spoilt the start and end of the holiday. Will never book with this hotel chain again - total rip off. They do not deserved to be patrionised.

When we arrived at the hotel on the Sunday we were told that the only vacant seats on a coach to the airport were at 2.30 or 9a.m as we had a 7a.m check-in neither of course was suitable. We were informed that as it was a courtesy coach they were not obligated to provide transport We had to book a taxi to the airport at a cost of £10. On return we called the hotel at 10.05p.m and waited at the airport for a driver until 10.55p.m. The worst experience we've ever had using a hotel/ park option.

I doubt that i would use this hotel again. The hotel was ok but the room was very poor. The bar had no stock and if I didnt know that this hotel was part of a large group of hotels I would have thought that the place was in financial trouble. We had to park our car at Premier parking at the airport which was a relief to be honest as I didn't think that the hotel's parking was very secure.

The hotel and airport transfer facilities were great. Only problem was time of return 5.00 am. Missed return transfer to hotel by 5 mins - due to time of day they only run every hour - so got a taxi back - no problem at all. Will recommend

Hotel used by travelling Man Utd fans so very noisy and disturbing, unfortunately we had a very early start but had no sleep as these guests were still socialising til the wee small hours and were outside drinking/shouting.

For the price this was reasonable I guess. The hotel was labyrinthian and neighbours were noisy-? thin walls. I thought the rooms were dark and possibly grubby. I was also concerned about the security of the parking-you park in the massive hotel grounds anywhere that you can find a space!(However, you do have the option of driving and parking nearer the airport).BUT the hotel staff were extremely accomodating.

Would probably use facility again. The room was adequate. Coach to airport prompt. Price compared to others good. Not used overnight stay or airport parking before so did not know what to expect. Thought the parking might have been more recorded and supervised.

This was the first time we decided to stay near the airport overnight, but what a great start to the holiday. We arrived at the airport feeling rested and fresh and ready for the long flight to Mexico instead of feeling fed up after travelling from home in the early hours. The Britannia Country House hotel is the ideal way to start your holiday and we will always use this facility from now on.
