overbooked 10 rooms when we arrived,so we were shoved out to another cheaper hotel. this booking had been paid for 2 months earlier, and we had even received a reminder two days before we arrived, to remind us! they blamed it on the "computer" dont go there

The taxi which was on time and took us to Birmingham airport comfortably and put us down as near Departures as possible was excellent. Even better was the arrangement for being individually picked up on our return. The slight disadvantage of the broken shower was compensated by the taxi service!

I had trouble confirming my booking before arriving, it was booked under the wrong initial which caused me problems and lots of phone calls. The original booking was for when we returned from our holiday but when I booked a further night before our holiday started, the price I was quoted on the phone was less than when we arrived. I was eventually given the lower rate but only because I kicked up a fuss. The side of my car was damaged when I returned. The night staff were very friendly but the day staff not so.

Same thin happened last time we used this hotel, they said they did not have abooking for us. The hotel generally needs cleaning and refurbishing. Room was very dirty,

We pre booked two rooms on arrival for our holiday and our departure, the first No 11 was of a poor cleaning standard, the toilet flush did not flush on a regular basis, we were told by reception the plumbing was old. The second room Room 50 was on the ground floor, the windows had no privacy overlooking a car park so you had to close the curtains as there were parked vans outside, they were not double glazed. The breakfast for just under 8 was very poor, the fried egg was cold as was the bacon, even though they were on a hot plate. My cup had not been washed properly as it had brown stains throughout. We had to ask for milk for the cereal, there were only two other groups in the dining room at this time. The breakfast waiting staff lacked interpersonal skills. I informed reception of our complaints regarding room No 11 and the breakfast. Would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Janice Clist

Only comment was the resturant should have offered the bar menu without us being embaressed to ask if anything else was available to eat as the 2 people that were travelling with myself and my wife had severe learning difficulties and could only eat simple meals, which were not offered on the resturant main menu.

This is the second time I've stayed at Stonbridge. Both times were more than satisfactory. But I would just like to add that I found the receptionist, who was on duty this time(I'm sorry I didn't note her name)to be absolutely delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. She obviously enjoys her job,and I would like to thank her.

Overall much better value than rushing to the airport in the early morning and parking the car in the Long Stay Car Park.

Everything apart from the cold water was great. Unfortunately, the freezing cold water was not condusive for a relaxing bath for my grandchildren before bed, nor a wake up shower for any of us at 3 the next morning.
