Goldair Handling Cip Lounge reviews

Due to short check-in time at Athens airport (only 2 hr before departure) we arrived at 06:30pm at the lounge (open till 08pm). All snacks were already gone and not replenished. At 7:15pm the cleaning lady started to mop the floor. At 7:45pm we were asked to finish our drinks because the lounge would close. Drinks are OK (except lemon slices/ice cubes were also out-of-stock).

I particularly appreciated the bank of computers available with large screens. The room is spacious, lots of good natural light, not noisy and gracious service when necessary. I asked to leave my suitcase with the receiptionist while I went out for something and there was no problem. However, I was rather upset that I had booked online, for three hours, at GBP18 and a man came in at the same time as I did and paid E20 for a "day pass". I would have done that had I known as I had 6 hours at the airport and hung about aimlessly before going to the lounge for just three hours.

The staff were not on duty at the reception desk when we arrived, and we had to retrieve them from the kitchen! Anyone could have come into the lounge at this time (03.30), so this was a security risk. Otherwise we had faultless service.

The choice of snacks was very limited. There just a plate of sandwiches, no biscuits or any other snack on offer.

The directions to the lounge were unclear--we had gone through customs before we realised that the lounge was before the customs control! Fortunately another lounge operator took pity on us and we were allowed into their lounge at no extra cost. To avoid this happening to others we recommend that directons are made clearer. We are considering requesting a refund!

My wife and I used this lounge between overnight and early morning flights in and out of Athens on route to our holiday destination. The facilities and additional comfort were well worth the outlay and much more convenient than bothering with a short hotel stop.

Pleasent staff and easy check in with online confirmation. Meet most our needs although could of been better seating for relaxing during early hours. Drinks and snack were fine. Internet readly available as well as wifi, great value for money
