No1 Lounge, Gatwick reviews

Don't book if you are under the impression you can eat what you want, when you want it! Ordered 2 sandwiches and told by staff AFTER it was brought to me that I would have to pay £4 for the extra cheese on toast!! Read the small print, I'm sure it's on there somewhere. Poor quality fare on offer. Coffee machine not working.comprising Rude , unfriendly , unhelpful staff. Not the best start to our hard earned holiday.

Nice place to sit and relax, an OK choice of food, not exactly Michelin starred but nice to keep you going.

I thought that lt filled in the time waiting for the flight well .The facilities for the grandchildren were good. Breakfast slightly limited. I would be happy to use the lounge again

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the facilities at No. 1 Gatwick. One of my friends works for Thompsons and was very pleased to experience No. 1. She had visited No. 1 recently as part of an 'educational' and was shown the area but did not get to enjoy the facilities. She is, therefore, now delighted that she can relate the whole experience first hand. On the down side we all felt that the bar staff were very inexperienced and didn't know there vodka from gin. Perhaps another member of staff behind the bar would be useful as the wait for drinks was longer than one would hope for.

The lounge was the perfect place to relax before our fflight with food and drinks at hand when required. I had a neck and shoulder massage and that was also an excellent way to relax.

I got there late, so I only spent one hour in the lounge. The food was very nice even though it wasn't a proper meal just a sandwich and drinks, there was also good selection of salads. I will definitely use it again.

Unfortunately due to late arrival of taxi (11/2 hours late!) we didn't spend enough allocated time in the lounge. However the short time we had was quality.

Choice of food and drink very good. Was able to find a quiet corner to relax and unwind in between flights. Very relaxing experience and will certainly use the lounge again.

When we arrived, there had been a busy period, and there was a lot of clearing up needed. However, staff attended to this in the time we were there and replenished the rather depleted stocks of refreshments. We were hoping for a quieter lounge, but should have realised from the facilities available that No 1 catered more for families and children. Staff were very pleasant and friendly

Excellent facility which provided us with exactly what we wanted (especially the shower room). Staff were very hardworking and efficient however due to lack of staff numbers they were obviously overstretched, this caused many tables to be left dirty.

this is the second time we have used the No 1 Lounge, as we fly from Guernsey we invariably have several hours at the Airport, this has to be by far the best way wo while away those hours between connecting flights, we shall always ake use of the lounge, there cannot be a better start to a holiday.Excellent facilities with courteous staff, higly recommended

A very relaxing start to our holiday food and drink very good and very reasonable price hope you dont put it up as I will use this again provided its not to pricy

Our flight was delayed & we were so glad we had booked the lounge as i do not think i could have afforded the main area nor the uncomfortable seating & noise. The only downside was the food on offer. It was very "up itself". I would prefer something plainer, not everyone likes spices & herbs, but hey the alcohl & other drinks more than made up for it.

The welcome was speed and courteous, plenty of comfortable seats to relax in and has a good view of the aircraft taking off and landing. The breakfast was plentiful and there was always plenty of coffee and other drinks available throughout the stay. Highly recommended for any traveller to start their holiday or trip off.

A very good welcome, which is enhanced by the comfort of the furniture that is provided to eat and relax in. The breakfast menu was really nice and there was a good choice off the continental breakfast bar. You can order alcoholic drinks from the bar and this is complimented by newspapers to read, whilst you relax and watch the plane activity outside. A very enjoyable way to relax and spend two hours before your flight and I highly recommend the experience!! Thank you all at No.1 Gatwick for a good job done!!

We booked this as an extra special treat for our honeymoon and boy was it worth it. The lounge is a place of tranquility in the hussle of the airport. We arrived early for our flight to (about 3hrs) and it flew by in the lounge. The staff were very polite and friendly. The food was great - especially the just baked brownies and flapjack! There was an extensive collection of drinks available and all good brands - my husband took to the Jamesons, whilst I stuck with Earl Grey and hot chocolates! The sun was setting whilst we were there and it was a great backdrop to watching the planes arrive/depart. It really was such a perfect start to a really perfect holiday! I am recommending it to all my friends & family (without kids of course!)

What a great way to start a holiday, excellent staff and facilities made this the ideal place to be, we shall be using this service on every occassion we can, highly recommended.

Facities and food excellent - just right for an early breakfast and relax prior to early morning long flight. Staff all excellent and friendly. Most of all peaceful compared to terminal!

We have used other lounges in the past but the experience you get in this lounge is far better than the others by far. Everything is just what you need to get your holiday off to a nice start. From the time we entered to the time we left we were made to feel very welcome with excellant service. We Will deffinatly book again next time we travel.

The lounge area seating was uncomfortable and we were looking forward to comfortable seats maybe recliners so that we could maybe have a nap during our stay. The cinema sound system was faulty and it was impossible to hear the film above the noise of the lounge. Otherwise everything else was fine.
