No1 Lounge, Gatwick reviews

The lunch we had was very enjoyable. It was nice to be able to sit down in a bistro environment, to eat our meal. The seats were very comfortable plus the ability to sit in a separate cinema and watch the latest film was great. If we had wanted, we could also have had a beauty treatment (extra cost). If only we had had more time there!

Reasonably comfortable but sterile surroundings. Many staff paying attention to everything but you. Have to wait a long time for a drink ,instead of self service.

The bright decor and view were better than the other Gatwick lounge we had used. Drinks and food were more interesting too, expecially being able to have something hot, in this case a good Welsh rarebit. A therapist from the Spa came round to give a hand massage, which was lovely. I might take a treatment next time - there will be a next time as we have to spend time at Gatwick en route from Glasgow to France several times a year and this lounge made the often boring three hours bearable. (I did suggest to the therapist that holiday-specific treatments such as a leg wax might be a good idea.) We found it value for money and have already recommended it to friends.

My only little niggle was that we were told there was a smart dress code so we dressed accordingly (much to our annoyance as we had a long flight ahead and wanted to wear comfortable casual clothes) only to find people in the lounge wearing very casual clothes.

We will definitely use the lounge again and have already recommended it to friends and family.My wife and i travel a lot with BA and use their lounges we both felt NO 1 Gatwick was better than T5 Lounge.

The lounge is comfortable with a good standard of food both on buffet and to order. Wifi was very good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were very clean and well decorated. The views across the airfield are very good too. The lounge does suffer from an annoying shaking and there were far too many very young children often running around which made relaxing, which I thought was the idea of the lounge, difficult at times. Perhaps a minimum age should apply.

Very helpful staff. Lovely food. Plenty to drink. Would definitely do it again. Great experience, thoroughly recommended. Very good value for money. Well done! You really are No 1 !
