Plaza Premium Lounge reviews

We were hoping for some quiet time, before boarding our long flight to London, but instead could hardly find a place to sit and couldn't read or relax, as it was so noisy in the small room. We felt this was a total waste of money. Was not at all what we expected and what we had experienced before in other lounges.

This is the second time we have used this lounge at Vancouver and we found it just as brilliant as the first time with plenty of snack choices and quiet ambience. We will always use it on our way back from Vancouver.

Good food-hot & cold, limited choice but fresh and tasty, good selection of drinks, very quiet.

The Plaza Premium appears to be owned by an Oriental consortium so the food was all rice and noodles, which was not really appreciated by my 7 year old daughter and I. The only facility valuable to us was the shower, of which there was only one, and we waited 30 minutes to use. Both of the taps in the sink ran hot even though they were marked hot and cold. Rinsing toothpaste out with hot water is quite an unpleasant experience. The Vancouver airport complex includes free WiFi and hot points to charge up electrical devices. It is clean and comfortable with plenty of seating and shopping. It is the best airport in the world I have ever travelled through and because of this I have cancelled the lounge pass for my return journey. The Plaza Premium is at the lower end of the scale similar to the US lounges at Chicago and Cincinatti, though at 38 quid for two it is not good value at all. At the top end of the scale is British Airways and Emirates which are always excellent and great value.

The lounge provided a comfortable haven in the midst of a very busy airport. A long flight delay meant I was able to take full advantage of the facilities on offer.Certainly improved the journey for me.

We were fortunate that it was a quiet evening and we almost had the place to ourselves. The facilities were superb and the ambience very relaxing. There was a great range of food and drink and even individual 'nap' rooms !! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lounge facilities to anyone and we shall certainly use them again.
