The No. 1 lounge made the whole airport experience so much more enjoyable, no long queues at the bar, plenty of comfortable seats, clean toilets. The kids were kept entertained as the lounge overlooks the runway.

The highest score for my wife and I was customer service. We were actually served Eggs Benedict at our table with coffee, when other lounges are self service. Our waitress never stopped working - we watched her and would have gladly left a gratuity if the facility had been provided. The service desk constantly monitored our flight. The low score on comfort was because the lounge was quite crowded and we had difficulty finding a seat at the start. Perhaps that's the price of popularity!

When we arrived we were shown to very comfy chairs & a menu was brought to us very quickly .The service was very good including the food & drinks . The lounge is very quite and the service was second to none and i would recomend any traveller to use the lounge

I used the lounge for the first time and will return. It was spotlessly cool and clean and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. On my visit, mid-week and mid-morning, it was about half-full, plenty of choices of places to sit and a real difference to the terminal outside which was busy, noisy and hot! Traveling for business, I had a pleasant continental breakfast served to me before getting a solid hour of uninterrupted work done. Really made a different to my journey to begin it this way.

A pleasant lounge, however, unless you have something to eat it is not value for money. Because it was busy, there does not seem to be enough staff to cope & you are left waiting quite a while for a drink.

I wouldn't book here again. Service is friendly but very slow. Choice is VERY limited and certainly not worth the money. Next time I'll spend the time in one of the airport restaurants or bars .... cheaper with better food/facilities. Andy

your confusing website led me to book in the south terminal when i wanted North! result i losst the money i paid to you and had to pay for another lounge. unless you refund me my money don't expect any more bookings

The attractive facilities offer many different types of seating and lighting in one room, so you can tuck yourself away in the type of area you prefer. I arrived about 8am on a weekday morning, and when I heard someone's toddler screetching and another one running around the place as I came through the door, I nearly turned around and walked out. I was then disappointed to find that the upstairs was closed (still), which would have provided the best opportunity to escape the toddler-fallout. Still, there were a couple quiet corners left to retreat to, which I did, and really enjoyed the couple of hours I was there. The little menu is nice, the quality of the light snacks is really good, and the servers are very courteous and quick. The bathrooms were well-equipped and very clean -- such a nice difference from the usual terminal restrooms. However they certainly do need more than one of them! It's embarrassing to have to queue or to have people rattling the handle while you're in there. My only other criticism is again about the other guests -- one of which was stretched out lengthwise on one of the sofas with his shoes on, sleeping. I realise that some adults have no manners whatsover, but it was pretty unsightly and kind of gave the impression that it's a bus terminal or something. Hopefully these guests are untypical, and hopefully No1 Gatwick will consider a 'no children' policy as it's just inappropriate to bring small children into a private lounge where adults go to work, read, or sit peacefully away from chaos. If so, this would be a real USP and I'd gladly become a regular user of the lounge.

A much better way to spend your time waiting for your flight. We spent over 2 hours enjoying a lovely breakfast and drinks and reading the newspapers. We were enjoying ourselves so much we nearly missed our flight!!

Well worth the money, no hassle of finding somewhere to sit and eat. Relaxed atmosphere with a view over the runway.

Great facility. Very quiet and relaxing. Selection of food and drinks was far better than other lounges that I have used in the south terminal. Well worth a visit.

This is the first time we have booked a airport lounge & we would definitely book again with No 1. Food & service excellent Found the whole experience very relaxing before a flight

Nice relxing lounge - away from the hustle and bustle.....my wife and I dont drink but still felt a bit uncomfortable going to the bar area for soft drinks and extra snacks.Not quite got the laid back experience of other lounges! But still enjoyed our time there.

a warm and friendly place that takes all the hassle of waiting around congested airport. A relaxed and chilled place to sit and watch the world go by.

This is a really great lounge - we all totally relaxed here in the peaceful and friendly environment. Very good service and what a refreshing idea with the food. They provided great snacks from warm pitta bread filled with chicken caesar and salads - really lovely light and tasty food. A great environment, can't recommend this lounge enough and will definitely use this one again. Was a little cold - air conditioning was turned up just a little too much - other than that, great and excellent value for money.

I loved this lounge, so much nicer than the other one at Gatwick. The food was great! I had salmon salad and it was worth the cost of the lounge on it's own! I would recommend this lounge to anyone. The only less positive thing is that when I went the staff could have been a little more attentive, but it wasn't too bad at all.

This lounge is pretty comfortable and friendly and the view of the planes is interesting. I felt a bit awkward about the food as you got served at the table and had to order specifics instead of the usual help yourself. The awkward factor being I didn't know if I could order twice if I was still hungry. The staff were also too eager and cleared away my tea before I'd drunk it! Not bad value for money though, especially if I could have more food..?

A very stylish, chic, clean and quiet atmosphere. Great place to relax and get away from the airport crowds. Service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming however one they had taken our orders the wait for food and drink was a little slow. As a newly reopened lounge I was unsure what to expect but from the description I had been expecting a restaurant sit down style hot meal. This is definitely NOT the case. They serve a selection of snacks such as small salads, warm filled pitta bread or scones but the food is served at your coffee table and certainly won't fill you up. Free drinks were excellent, I did try a cocktail which was extra but it was nothing special and I wouldn't bother next time.
