Arrival Procedure
The Luton Long Term car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system, so it is essential to enter the correct vehicle registration when making your booking. We recommend that you bring a printed copy of your booking confirmation with you. Drive up to the entry barrier and press the button for a ticket. Your vehicle registration and booking reference will be printed on your ticket. If the system fails to recognise your vehicle, please take a ticket from the entry barrier. Follow the signs to the nearest available spaces, park your vehicle and make a note of where you have parked, then make your way to the nearest bus stop. Please note that the car park recommends you arrive at least 30 minutes before your earliest required airport check-in time.
Departure Procedure
Return to your vehicle, drive to the exit barrier and insert the ticket you were issued upon arriving. If you have not overstayed your pre-booked time, the barrier will automatically raise. If any overstay charge is applicable, it will be displayed on the exit column and can be paid at this point using a debit or credit card. If your vehicle was not recognised at arrival and/or your registration number is not printed on your ticket, please press the intercom for assistance and quote your booking reference.

We arrived back to Luton after the half term holiday and there was only one coach doing the whole round trip on probably one of the busiest days so we had to wait about 25mins for a coach and when it arrived there were too many people waiting to fit everyone on. When we finally got to the car, the ticket wouldn't let us out, saying we had to pay £100. There was no one around to ask - the bus driver had gone, the portacabin was closed up, there were no information points. I finally found an intercom buzzer on the exit barrier and there was a very helpful lady at the other end who sorted things out. They had no record of our booking even though we were actually in the car park and I had a ticket with my car registration on. The lady was extremely helpful and we finally got out of the car park one hour after having queued for the bus!
Well worth paying the extra cost compared with a car park further away to be able to be on your way home more quickly
Quick to find from M1 and easy to enter with a pre arranged ticket, recognition of number plate worked and was to park and get the bus which was 50 m from the departure hall. Worked well on the return as well and good signage and directions. Value for money AWFUL but I always answer that question that way.
We found the car park quickly it was well sign posted. When we entered the car park we were impressed by the speed going through the barrier, which welcomed us personally, to getting into a space and catching the transfer bus. Very well laid out. Easy to remember where car was parked on return journey
Staff a bit abrupt, but the service overall is good value for money...
Arrival, parking, punctuation of transfers helpfulness of driver was perfect in such bad weather conditions. We had a 7 hour delay on our return and for the women on the gate on the telephone was know help whatsoever. To tell me i would have to pay extra unless i could confirm my booking, i found was quite frustrating as it was pitch black out and i could'nt even read the buttons on the phone!
Arrival was fine but on departure - after a seriously delayed flight - the machine failed to permit our exit - it was dark and raining hard nad we could not find an intercom so had to pay to leave and then make a phone call the next day to recover our duplicate payment.
Simple, staightforward and good value. Bus shelters have very limited capacity and would be much better if larger to accomodate more people.
It took me 15 minutes in wet & dark conditions to raise reply from exit intercom. The pushbutton for prepay should be clearly marked as such, even wheh dark & raining. Drop off stop numbers should be marked on ticket, not just park zones. The far end of car park was stones & it was difficult to roll siutcases on this surface
The surface of the car park is poor and when it rains puddles occur. The shelter by the bus stop was too small and poorly desined to keep off the wind and rain. The bus transfer was timely but the luggage rails to contain the cases were too high making lifting cases difficult or impossible. The exit barrier would not lift automatically despite us following the procedures correctly. We were told by the dispay panel we needed to pay over one hundred pounds to be released when we had already paid our fee in advance!!!!There was a long delay contacting an over worked member of staff reulting in a hold up not only for us but everyone in the queue behind us as well.
easy to find didnt have to wait very long for the transfer buses and right to the terminal
The car park was adequate and whilst only one bus was in operation at the time of return, it did not cause too long a wait.
Leaving the car park was a problem. The barrier machine didn't accept our ticket and wanted to re-charge us, the machine wasn't well lit so it took a while to find the enquiry button, the staff member we spoke to wasn't particularly helpful- he first wanted to know whther we had parked in the right car park and then wanted all our car details again before finally letting us through. This is the 2nd time we have had a problem with exiting this car park
This was the first time we have used your service and we were very impressed with the service provided, the price was competative and the car park staff were very helpfull, directing us to the available car parking spaces nearest the bus pick up point, this saved time and the potential to have to drive around looking for parking spaces,we have never had this at any other UK airport. Many thanks.
car park is well lit and you feel your car is very safe. the transfers to the terminal are quick and often too. a no worries experience and good value.
Only criticism is with the signing on the approach in the dark. I mistook the entrance gate and reversing hit an unmarked 'island' at the road junction. Larger signing would have been appreciated. Otherwise, no problems.
Easy entrance and parking. Bus came reasonably soon when we arrived but from airport took ages. Exit was malfunctioning but was manned by a member of staff so no problems.
the long term parking bus is the least frequent while we waited every other bus came and went it seemed there was only one bus and withthe furthest to go we would have hoped for better sevice the idea of talking to someone at the exit barrer is quite ---- as we are well away from the mike when you are siting in your car comunication is bad Will find alternative parking next time
Further from the airport than expected and sign posting just adequate but bus service good and regular at no extra charge!
I followed the long term parking signs and got there no problem although some of the so called pink signs are not that pink and if you are travelling at night you might have a problem.
