Mid Term parking is located on the main approach to the airport, making it one of the most convenient options for parking at Luton. Mid Term is 1 of 9 Luton Airport Parking options and has been rated 73% by 97 previous customers.

Arrival Procedure

The Luton Mid Term car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system, so it is essential to enter the correct vehicle registration when making your booking. We recommend that you bring a printed copy of your booking confirmation with you. Drive up to the entry barrier and press the button for a ticket. Your vehicle registration and booking reference will be printed on your ticket. If the system fails to recognise your vehicle, please take a ticket from the entry barrier. Follow the signs to the nearest available spaces, park your vehicle and make a note of where you have parked, then make your way to the nearest bus stop. Please note that the car park recommends you arrive at least 30 minutes before your earliest required airport check-in time.

Departure Procedure

Return to your vehicle, drive to the exit barrier and insert the ticket you were issued upon arriving. If you have not overstayed your pre-booked time, the barrier will automatically raise. If any overstay charge is applicable, it will be displayed on the exit column and can be paid at this point using a debit or credit card. If your vehicle was not recognised at arrival and/or your registration number is not printed on your ticket, please press the intercom for assistance and quote your booking reference.

Transfers operate 24 hours a day, running every 10 minutes, and taking approximately 5-10 minutes.

Only issue was that upon exiting the barrier did not respond automatically and we had to press button to speak to opertaor, which worked quickly

Flight was delayed four hours and got a shock when the ticket machine said I owed over £100. When I explained to the person on the tannoy and confirmed that I had pre-paid he was very helpful and let me through.

We had no hassle when booking or at the car park and the transfers were regular

Insufficient shelter space in car park - waited too long for bus in freezing conditions with small child - shelter full. Sign for mid term bus stop when returning to collect car could be clearer - most people I met not sure which of the three stops was mid term or whether all the three stops were mid term.

Once again I was not recognised when trying to exit the car park and told I had to pay an extra £96. Needed to contact the attendant, who to be fair sorted it quickly - however this happens on every occasion we use this parking and needs to be addressed

The shuttle on the return journey took a long to time to arrive. Everyone was soaked due to the storms and the bus was extremely overcrowded. However the outward journey was fine. The car was safe and the transfer time good.

Only problem was on exiting car park. Intercom method unacceptable as it wasn't clear where the intercom was and in any event was not working. Led to queues at barrier and a wait for a member of staff to operate barrier. As a lone woman passenger and the late hour this was a bit worrying.

Transfer buses were nowhere to be seen and we walked to the terminal. OK on return

I think the check out could be a little clearer.... The call button is not very clear and could be highlighted somehow

Pre-booked online several days before parking, cost £40 which I think is very steep in Europe, cost is practically identical to Heathrow and other BAA airports. Drove in, ANPR welcomes you on approach to the boom gate when you take your ticket. Good to see frequent busses every 10min, even at this hour! Friendly/alert driver, transfer 5mins only. Returned, no damage whatsoever, inserted parking ticket on exit; simple. Otherwise, you can still quote your booking reference on the intercom if there's a hitch. Will definitely use Mid-Term Parking again, recommended for ease/proximity to the airport terminals. It is not exclusively Mid-Term though, as Short-Term/Pickups come and go through the facility as well. As with ANY carpark just be sure to check for damage under bright lights, before you exit, as some areas are not as brightly lit, most spaces are unsealed gravel with no lines, and some peeps evidently are still learning how to park nicely ;-) The main point remains, Mid-Term Parking (Green) serves it's purpose very well, so I'm happy.

Nice fast, in and out service thats not to far from the airport, resonable prices if you book online in advance.Could have more signs to customer services just in case you need to ask them something. Would use again...

car park was very close to airport so very quick transfer. I felt it was worth paying a few pound more to upgrade from pink to green parking for the shorter transfer time.

Booking process was simple and easy. Parking facilities were not luxurious but acceptable. The system of getting out from the parking place is horrible and it took me ages to understand it.

Only a little more expensive than car parks further away. Worth the extra bit of money as it made the trip a lot easier. Easy to find ( unilke some of the outside car parks) and a quick reliable transfer service. Will definately use again.

The location of the car park is ideal for those who do not want to waste time with transfers. The bus service is frequent and comfortable and the staff is friendly as well as helpful. The only downside of this car park is the condition of the parking lot, as there are no clear markings for cars and the cars are parked on soil. As there are no markings, people park whereever they find a place and do not think about other users. It is really difficult to find a parking spot as the markings for free places are confusing. Also, the price of the car park is not competitive enough when booked online.

The access arrangements to the mid and short term parking arrangements at this airport go from bad to worse and there is also a consequential effect on the long term park. The person who design the entrance access to the short termcar park and drop-off point clearly has very limited experience of designing a traffic flow system. (I am being kind here!) Who in there right mind designs the "exit route to cross the access route" which promptly blocks up the main roundabout which then cascades back past the mid term access to the lower roundabout! Charging to drop-off appears to be an attempt to find a way to allieviate the problem but all it does is compound it! Millions wasted through what in my opinion can only be described as design incompetance. The solution is a simple one but as it has the potential to keep traffic moving more freely consequently eliminate the need to impose drop off fees which is possibly counter to the what appears to be the primary objective of increasing parking revenue share to the airport operator, it is never likely to happen. I have travelled through this airport at least once/twice a month for many years. For the first time ever I have recently started looking for other alternatives. The parking area itself is satisfactory. The infrastucture access around it has deteriorated significantly in the last year. Disappointing to say the least!!

could barely hear the parking manager over the intercom on leaving the car park (when getting instructions & providing reference)

Mr HUNT 09 July, 2009

On leaving the car park it is not obvious which buttons need to be pressed, or why the ticket needs ejecting. The men on the end of the comms button are fighting to shout above each other - it sounds like carnage in there! :) However, the parking is well priced - it just needs to be slicker.
