Excellent value for money when you bear in mind that for our stay we were able to: - relax in the comfortable lounge furniture - watch TV (and also find quiet places to avoid it!) - graze at the snack bar - drink whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted - freshen before our night flight with a shower in the individual suites (toiletries and towels included) - charge our phones/iPADS on the western style sockets - access the Internet for free (you pay in the airport public area)

I was most impressed until I suffered acute food poisoning whilst on my 12 hour flight home. Of course I can't be 100% sure it was caused by the hot snacks I ate in the lounge, but cannot think of anything else that my illness could have been attributed to. A shame, because the experience was excellent otherwise.

After a long flight and to spend a few hours in the lounge, it would be good to have a possibility to lie down. It was very easy to go into the storage-room. It means, every body can go into it and we became the feeling, our luggage was not very safe.

Great place to kick-back and relax. With separate areas (for quiet, for work or for conversation), the lounge suits everyone. I will definitely be using bidvest lounges again and will recommend to friends before long flights.

I was only in for a quick shower between flights. Shower facilities were great. Did not experience the rest of the lounge, but I will definitely book again next time I travel!

Very nice peaceful comfortable lounge refreshments good and plenty of choices

We were very disappointed with the food offered in the lounge as we have been in the lounges at Durban and the domestic lounge in Jo-burg and really enjoyed the experience. This time the food was poor and very little choice considering it should be the best lounge in that airport. Lets hope this comment can help you with your view on food for the visitors.

It was a pleasant way to pass the time away until your flight departure

It's a great lounge with access to a wide range of food and drinks. Comfortable chairs and a short walk away from most gates. I thoroughly recommend this very affordable experience.

I like the free wifi. The staff were very attentive and cleared tables immediately. Very relaxing start to a long flight!

1st visit to this lounge & a bit of a mixed review - on arrival the lounge front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming, the lounge facilities also looked nice but we didn't really get a chance to really relax as approx 10mins after arriving the lounge was suddenly plunged into complete darkness. To be fair I think this was due to a general power issue at the airport as the lack of lights was not confined to the lounge only but sadly none of the lounge staff seemed at all bothered and just left the customers sitting in the dark? No mention of what was wrong or indeed any type of apology at all was offered, luckily this was not our 1st trip to SA and I had a torch in my rucksack that we used to navigate to the toilets etc! I think this could be a nice lounge, I'm booked back in for Dec so hopefully this time the lights will stay on and I can confirm!

Very spacious so you can easily find your own quiet space. Last visit slighltly less quiet due to African band pergforming below - OK but only for for the first half hour. Limited selection of South Africa papers. Several flat screen TVs and staff always ready to assist customers with changing channels etc. Tables and toilets regularly cleaned. Small number of toilet cubicles for the overall size of the lounge but not a problem during the two times we visited (early morning and early evening) but we noted that the disabled facilities were out of order. Given the number of early mornming arrivals and late departures the lounge would benefit from shower rooms. Good choice and quality of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks including local sparkling wine. Good choice of hot and cold food including fresh fruit; pastries; ham; cheese; crisps; self-heat noodles & soup; plus some basic hot snacks (chicken nuggets and veg kebabs). Overall, good value for money.

Definately worth the money to relax here. Really everything you need to start your journey in a comfortable way. Lovely to have a good choice of either hot and cold snacks plus salad too. Plenty of hot and cold drinks. Will definitely use this lounge again at whichever airport they are available.

The lounge at O.R.Tambo had been revamped since last year, making the experience very nice. It seemed more spacious and better facilities. The food was good but not the variety of hot food or sandwiches that we had previously. Our flight was delayed by 3 hours so we had to pay R500 extra which we thought they could have been more lenient about. Otherwise a great relaxing and tranquil experience.

If you want to drink yourself to oblivion, you can, if you are looking for a nice balanced meal, you will nto get one, comfort fine, toilet facilities could have been monitored better

Frequent Traveler I always use this lounge but on this occasion the lounge was so overcrowded that I left as I could not find a seat. returned after 45 mins and could find a seat yet still busy to capacity

An excellent service, ideal for long transfer stops, good internet, and relaxing environment. A wider range of newspapers to read is the only improvement I can suggest.

Please do somthing about regulating the shower temperature - it rises and falls alarmingly without touching the taps. Burn to freeze and back is not recommended.

Our flight was so much more relaxed after using the lounge, joburg airport is such a busy noisy place and to get a few hours of peace and quiet was so welcome. Couldn't fault the it in any way.

The lounge is comfortable and makes you forget the hassle of travelling. Will most certainly use it on a regular basis.
