pipes were frozen which was underatandable. But having to oreder a takeaway for dinner was somewhat strange for a hotel "eating" experience

This hotel was easy to find from detailed instructions. Room was excellent and warm. Bar meal was adequate and lounge was comfortable. Bus arrived in time for airport, and equally arrived on schedule when returning from airport. All round good value for overnight and parking stays for Manchester Airport.

It's like arriving at clapham junction, huge place.cars and people everywhere. Its about as far away from a country house hotel as you can get. Reception is on the ball, but the place is a maze. Three lamps in room all with dud bulbs, but clean bathroom Furnishings very tired and in need of a clean. A coach leaves every hour for the airport driven by a fearsome foreigner who never spoke one word even to indicate which stop you had arrived at. Not a pleasant experience.

Good value for money, room was clean although quite dark due to the size of the window. View from the window was poor. Transfer service was good.

Rooms very hot, poor ventilation. Our lift was broken hence taking bags up flights of stairs difficult. Restaurent fully booked till late with coach party - tried room service & eventually got correct meals. Shuttle bus fixed times- meant waiting 1 hour, had to get a taxi both ways - an additional expense.

Easy to book, the staff most helpful. They now do not include the cost of the airport shuttle in the overall price (£4 per person), or the cost of breakfast. We stayed one night and left the car for 9 days - all no problem. Breakfast was fine, the room clean but the bed uncomfortable.

Had to pay extra to use the small pool. Room allocated was in the roof and very cramped and dark, the TV was broken. Shuttle service to airport good.

after travelling back from the USA (on the move for over 13 hours) I found that the car had been broken into - the hotel security logs did not show this and later I found out from the police the CCtv did not show anything either. Also from Trip Advisor reveiws found out this is a regular occurance - I am affraid sorry is just not enough!!!

The Hotel was most comfortable and well appointed. All the booking arrangements went smoothly. We found it a relaxing start to the holiday and avoided what would otherwise been a very early start from our home.

lighting in room very poor.parking facilities very poor -had to park on a grass verge out of sight from the hotel, adjacent to the main road.although security personnel in evidence, it would be easy to break into a car in this isolated position.

There had was a party (teenagers) the night of our stay. The noise intil the early hours of the morning was not conducive to the good nights rest I anticipated before our long journey to the States. The very reason I decided to stay over in Manchester. The next morning the state of the toilets was disgusting. Toilet paper everywhere. Sinks full of half drunk bottles and glasses. Basically it was apauling for a hotel where guests are hoping for a good start to their journey. Breakfast was a joke. No one around to explain the system and nothing very apetising on offer. This has certainly put me off using this facility again. I would never advise ant of my colleagues or friends to use this hotel . Terrible.

We arrived at the Hotel (if you can call it an hotel) about 3pm in the afternoon on one of the warmest days of the year the 11th of May 2008 the outside temperature was 24, we were told by the security guard that cars are broken in to on a regular bassis so not giving us much confidence to leave our car, when we got to the room after no help from anyone as they told us no one was available to help with our cases, we found the air conditioning unit was blowing warm air, we complained three times to reception but nothing was done so we had very little sleep. As we were flying early the next day my wife decided to change in to her nightclothes and to have room service for a meal, we phoned for room service at least ten times and each time the phone was picked up and replaced with no one answering, we than phoned reception only to be told we had to go to the bar to order and to take the meal to our room, by this time it was 6pm my wife then dressed and we went downstaires to order our meal, when we arrived at the bar we were told sorry but they had finnished doing meals to take to rooms and we had to go to the dining room for a meal, we then went to the dining room only to be told that the only meal available was a carvery! We explained we were vegetarians and was there some alternative, we were told no and we could go out of the gate turn left and go to the curry mile about four miles away, we then made a complaint to the manager and all he could say was he was short of staff and no offer of food was made so we had to travel four miles out of the hotel to get some food. This hotel is a disgrace and we will be writing to the chief ex officer with our complaint, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

the return from airport was not on demand which is what we were lead to believe consequently the bus to return us to our car was in effect an hourly shuttle ( which by the way left nearly 10 minutes early according to the time table ) we were left unable to contcat anyone as the telephone nuber printed on the document we were given was in fact a call center in scotland and of no use at all we eventually via 118 118 got hold of the hotels number only to be unanwered for 5 attempts to call then eventually someone answered that the next bus t othe airport was an hour away we could not wait in the poor weather waiting for a bus in our holiday clothes shivering and had to book a taxi to get us back to our car the cost of £12 was not what we were expecting to pay already having paid the hotel for this service in the first place from our experience we will not be using your service again nor letting any of our friends and family i look forward to a response with interest

The only disappointment was that in the information booklet it said that light snacks were served in the bar until 9-30pm and when we got to the bar at approximately 6-15pm we were told that meals were finished so we had to go to the local shop and get sandwiches and fruit. We didn't want a large three course meal.

I had to get a taxi to pick up my car which cost £20, because the hotel bus did not stop at the allotted area at 9.30am, it came at 9.10 and left immediately, how do i konw , i was working out of the arrival area when i saw it leave at 9.10. They should stick to printed time table

This is the second time i stayed at the hotel and after a bad experience the first time which was put right by the very helpful staff,i must say the second time was a much better experience. The first time i was put in a damp ,dirty room at the rear ground floor which after a couple of hours gave my daughter a bad chest and made myself feel quite nausious. There was seemingly an outbreak of a terrible virus there was no bar staff and dirty glasses were piled up allover the bar area until around 9pm when a member of staff was finally able to open up and see to this. All lifts were broken, and genrally the place was in terrible order, however due to the excellent staff i did decide to give it another go and found it to be much better.
