We enjoyed the use of the hotel, which meant we started our holiday in a relaxed way.We will definitely use this again. Thank you once again to the staff at the Marriott hotel at Manchester.
Hotel ok very friendly Reception staff. Players Restaurant attached to hotel awful. We were stuck in a corner because we had a baby and were rushed through our meal because they obviously had bigger and more important parties following us. Food expensive.
Hotel and room excellent.Staff very helpful. Transfer to and from airport very good. An excellent start to our holiday . Would definately use Marriott Hotel again.
Ideally located for the airport. Rooms were very comfortable, only minor thing was that we had to ask for some complimentary toiletries as they were not intally provided in bathroom. Plenty of places to eat nearby if you don't fancy the hotel restaurant. We ordered a taxi to take us to the airport (worked out cheaper than the hotel transfer) and it arrived very quickly. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
i had a very comfortable stay at the marriott the staff were helpful and the car parking facilites were very good, the only thing i would say is that the drinks are very expensive.
check in could have done with more staff, had to wait a while. good service once attended to.
Friendly staff, good room, spotlessly clean, excellent shuttle service to the airport, what more can I say. An ideal place to stop for an early flight, thoroughly enjoyable and I will definately be using the Marriott again.
Took advantage of special offer with inclusive parking. Delighted with the executive family room and the unexpected complimentary breakfast was an added bonus. The leisure facilities meant the children started their holiday a day early. Shuttle service to and from airport was excellent - friendly staff.
Overall a great hotel in a prime location, Only bad point was the price of drinks and food.
I found the hotel to be very comfortable and we had a very relaxing overnight stay. The staff were very pleasent and respectful . I would not hesitate to use this hotel again for further stop offs.
First class decor, added touches ie: slippers, dressing gowns - excellent!
Stopped overnight as we were catching very early flight following morning. Can't fault anything at all from staff, bedroom to airport transfer in the morning. All at a reasonable price for a family of four.
1/ I booked a non-smoking room. We got a smoking room and it stank. 2/ The room was in the basement with no lift service so we had to lug our heavy luggage up and down the stairs. 3/ The air conditioning was broken so the room was far too hot. 4/ The restaurant service was poor to say the least. After being made to wait 15mins for a table it was not set properly. We had to ask for side plates and cutlery. 5/ The choice of food in the restaurant was extremely limited with certain items (burgers, steak) unavailable. 6/ The prices in the restaurant were extortionate. £12 for fish and chips. 7/ The quality of the food was awful. My youngest daughter's chicken nuggets were almost burnt, my wife's fish and chips was a joke in size, the seafood dish that my eldest and I had was all pasta and sauce, there was hardly any seafood in it. As an extra bonus mine had additional celophane in it which I almost swallowed!!! All in all I would never stay at that hotel again.
Hotel is at Exit 6 of M56, 5mins drive from airport. Hotel mini bus serves all terminals, so we had an hour pass from ringing the hotel before we actually started our journey home after picking the car up. Hotel excellent.
Overall, a pleasant stay made our start to our holiday easier and more relaxed.
Everything is worthwhile at this hotel. Unfortunately, reception ask you what time you want to travel to the airport rather than ask you what time your flight is! We were flying at 6am and had express check-in, so decided to take the 4.30am transfer (as they are only available every half an hour). There were lots of people and not enough vehicles. Some people were travelling at 7 and 7.30am but jumped the taxi's first leaving us a little tight on time.
We booked our wake up call for 4:30 am & our ride to airport for 5:00 am. Wake up call happened as planned, but when we got down to reception for just before 5:00 am, we were told that the minibus had gone as we "weren't on the list", although we were not given sight of the list ourselves. The duty receptionist ordered us a taxi (on the house) for which we waited no more than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, this put us a long way back in the check-in queue & as a result we were unable to have seats together - not a disaster but a little disapponting for the start of the holiday. Would advise future guests to (a) make absolutely certain the night before that you are on the list and (b) check in on-line!
Swimming/sauna etc. excellent additional feature of stay. Organisation of airport transport very good.
