Our room was quite small but absolutely adequate for one night. The reception staff were excellent and so was the bar staff. We had dinner which was reasonably priced and very good and the service was good too. We have stayed at the Britannia Airport Hotel before and would stay again.

after arriving we went for a drink in the bar, it felt more like a icehouse than a bar. when we went to bed we could not sleep as a couple of rooms seemed to be having a party until 4 in the morning. when we left the room the corridor stunk of pot/dope. would not recommend this hotel, pay more to get better quality.

Hotel location good, car park facilities fairly cramped and limited availability. Room was spacious and nicely decorated, but room and hotel had strong smell of damp, like the carpets had been cleaned and not dried properly. Transfer was stressful at end of holiday with no free phone facility to call for transport at airport, so had to find 60 pence for less than a minute call. Was told time of transport, which was accurate, but when on bus was told we had to get off as driver did not have our names on list despite, giving driver the required ticket before getting on, suggesting poor organisation and lack of communication from coordinator to driver.

Don't expect a luxury hotel but its ok for a short stay. The meal in the restaurant was of an acceptable standard and generous portions. The breakfast selection was plentiful but suffered from being kept on warming unit for a length of time. Given the number of customers in the restaurant I would suggest that breakfast could be cooked to order which would probably reduce waste and increase numbers using same. The mattress in room 605 was of poor quality and you could feel all the springs! No de-caff tea or coffee available in the room.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we would definately stay here again as we fly from Manchester at least once a year, the rooms are clean and tidy and have all you require for a nights stay, we also have an evening meal and there is a very good choice of food.

The hotel was easy to find - just off the motorway. The car park was on- site which was an advantage. It was quick and easy to check in. The rooms were adequate and comfortable and the staff were helpful.
