The hotel was easy to find - just off the motorway. The car park was on- site which was an advantage. It was quick and easy to check in. The rooms were adequate and comfortable and the staff were helpful.

I used to work at this hotel a few years ago when it was the Post House, this is why I chose it to stay here. The reception staff seemed over rushed and seemed like they didnt really want to deal with you and that was just for check in!!! The rooms were ok but the public areas were extremely dirty and run down, I didnt eat at this hotel and wouldnt like to either as when we were exiting the hotel (twice throughout our stay) you had to drive past the back of the kitchens and the chef's were sat outside smoking in their chef whites!!!!. The public toilets were the worst I have ever used and the smell was horrendous, in fact the overall smell of the place was really off putting it kind of hit you when you walked through the doors. The airport transfer was good but we ended up having to get a taxi back to collect our car due to the firm only having selected pick up times. The car park of the hotel is very dirty and full of debris, I would choose not to stay at this hotel ever again, in fact I would think twice about staying at another Britannia Hotel in the future.

on arrival we were given a dirty smelly room - bed not made up. TV not working and telephone was two phones put together but were not the same therefore did not work. However, after a visit to reception we were given an alternative room which was an acceptable standard.

The shower was broken and the bath enamel was missing making it look a little tatty. The doorframes and lift were in need of a good coat of paint. In it's hey day it would have a been a beautiful Hotel. The reception staff weren't very friendly on arrival but then they might have had a bad day so not sure if they are prickly all the time.
