Rooms clean & tidy, the double bed sunk in at the middle which ment you kinda rolled into the centre lol . Arrived late at night. Check-in a bit busy I was just handed my card and moved along!I wasnt told anything (breakfast times etc) and I was trying to find out information about a transfer from securapark where I had booked my car for 2weeks( my car had broken down at the hotel just as we arrived) to the airport in the morning and no-one at front desk seemed to have a clue what I was talking about and they then proceeded to hand me a map!. (Must have been my scottish accent!)We were then told that the transfer shuttle was fully booked and that a taxi would be booked to take us(no problem taxi arrived on time) Overall we were stressed down to the car breaking down but hotel does exactly what it says and you cant knock it for that.
I cannot fault any part of our stay, it was only for a few hours, but everything the staff could do to help us and our two young children was done. I cannot thank them enough
The supervisor at securapark was , rude, unhelpful and obstructive. His colleagues tried to help but were quelled. I was told that I shold have driven to the carpark on Sunday morning even though I had the relevant paperwork to say i was arriving on saturday at 6pm. He refused to transport us to the hotel, his colleage waited til he clocked of at 6.15 and took us over there. My paperwork said the car was for up to 15 days - he ignored this. A horrible start to the holiday.
The hotel was close to the airport which made it ideal for our early morning flight. The coach service to the airport was a bit pricey for the length of the journey but was prompt and the driver was helpful. A basic hotel that was value for money. In similar circumstances I would use again.
Quad room was on the ground floor. Able to hear every movement in the room above us and either side. Guests were coming and going at all hours of the night and had no regard for other guests trying to sleep. We had to be up at 3am and due to the noise and very uncomfortable beds, we, including 2 children had hardly slept. We will not be using the travelodge again.
The arrangements for the extended car parking at Securepark were pathetic. On arrival at this car park, staff shortages meant we waited almost an hour before being taken to the airport. On return to Manchester at 4.45am. car park staff were not available till after 6am when they began work for that day, leaving us stuck on the airport forecourt, hotel good, parking crap.
Were not advised by receptionist when to take car to carpark, so was charged for a bus to airport in the morning (again not informed of this), this added to the cost of the hotel. Directions from hotel to carpark were incorrect, these were supplied by the hotel, so drove around for ages trying to find it. Bed linen not matching & bed not made well. Only 1 Bathtowel for two people, no bath mat for stepping out shower. Cold ham instead of bacon in bacon & chicken salad. Worst hotel I have ever been in and I use hotels a lot. Cold and unwelcoming.
Fantastic. The parking people knew our flight was delayed even if the airport didn't! We would definitely use you again.
Site was very handy for the airport, easy to find, food was decent, all in all just what was required.
