The lounge is modern and bright - too bright when I was there between 11pm and 5am and trying to get some sleep between flights. It was also very noisy. The sound of others talking (loudly!) in the lounge carried very easily. The uncovered floors meant the pushing around of chairs by others in their attempts to get comfortable to sleep was amplified and very noisy.

I found the standard of food was very good. I particularly enjoyed the healthy options of soup and chicken wraps. After plastic airline food this was welcomed. It is unfortunate there are not more sleeping seats, but understand for practical reasons these are limited. The cleanliness of the lounge was good, but the toilets were poor - with the toilet seats broken. The smoke from the smoking lounge is experienced throughout the entire lounge, and this was the key thing that spoilt the comfort of the 6 hour stay. Also, our return flight was re-scheduled. While we emailed Oryx immediately, it did not fall within their 24 hour notice period so were unable to gain a refund. This is perhaps impractical given travellers themselves do not know this outside 24 hours and is beyond their control.

Arrived at 1AM to a lounge packed to the gills - with more people queing to get in! Most people inside were using two chairs to sleep on because there are only around 10 reclining seats. This left very little space to sit. The food was adequate and there were pleanty of drinks. The staf work tirelessly to keep the lounge clean which is great.

We were at the Orynx from midnight to 6 am on Christmas day. It's a comfortable lounge with good seating arrangements and facilities that will take you away from the busy and noisy crowd in the terminal, it is not a place to get sleep. There are insufficient sleep pods and the lounge can be equally noisy. The staff are woefully oblivious to keeping the lounge environment quiet as they go around noisily with their trolley and banging dishes and tables. Minimal food was provided. We had the misfortune of having a noisy group of people who were very loudly chatting and laughing for several hours at the late hour. Also, the smoking room is badly located in the centre so that the cigarette smoke wafts out into the lounge when people frequently enter and leave the area. We could have gotten the same seat environment (albeit plastic chairs instead of armchairs) without paying in the terminal outside. Only plus was pretty good free wifi.

I was flying with Qatar Airways and had a 6 hour wait in Doha. I am accustomed to OneWorld lounge access, and did not Qualify for the Qatar Airways lounge so I bought the Oryx 6 hour access. Entry was welcoming and efficient. Food was good and there were lots of different types of furniture options, for lounging, working or eating. Highly rcommmended!

On our way back from Goa we had a stop in Doha for 6 hours! After reading other reviews we decided to book into the lounge. The lounge was great, lots of buffet food, hot and cold beverages, and comfortable seating. There were also lots of plugs so we could charge electronic devices. In addition, there were reclining chairs which turned into beds. The lounge has showers, (and they provide towels) and rest rooms which were all kept clean. There are no announcements so you can have a nap without being disturbed. However, you have to make sure you don't miss your connecting flight!! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and kept the lounge constantly neat and tidy. There is only one negative point which is that on one booking three people are the maximum. As we were a group of five, two bookings had to be made. That being said i will not hesitate to book this again!

Very nice and clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. For an over 3 hour stay at Doha I can highly recommend the Oryx Lounge. We have enjoyed our stay there and should we change planes in Doha again will for sure book it again.

Every thing was nice. Staff were all nice and friendly. Food had a great variety. Restrooms were clean. I just wish there are more lounges where people could lie flat their back more comfortably.

The facilities were appalling - insufficient sleeper couches, queues for toilets and showers (only two showers for the entire lounge),noisy with screaming kids running around, dismal refreshments, uninterested staff. And expensive. Unless there is a clear undertaking to improve service drastically, that's the last time that I will be using the lounge. And I will tell everyone who is travelling via Doha to avoid it.

Nice place to stay in the very noisy Doha International Airport A little bit hard to find a good place but when you find one, you can rest and sleep easily, and airlines make vocal announcement in the lounge for almost all departures.

There was a long queue to get in during my first visit to the lounge. Once inside, the food and refreshment were fine. However, the noise level was initially too loud to sleep and there were insufficient sleeping compartments.

I was there for 6 hours. I arrived at 00:00 so the bar facility was closed, which was a bit sad, and the food did not look THAT appetizing. Also, all the sleeping chairs were occupied, and I people will sleeping on couches everywhere. So I think more sleeping couches will be great. Other than that, it was extremely clean, the staff were so friendly and always busy cleaning and clearing glasses and plates. I woul use the Oryx Lounge again.

Definitely more comfortable for long stopovers than staying in the Doha airport passenger waiting area where there's a lack of an adequate no. of lavatories(long queues) Situation might improve once the new airport opens. The Oryx Lounge doesn't have enough long chairs to stretch out. Only about ten for the whole lounge!! The shower rooms have the most unbelievable shower heads I've ever seen in my life. The shower is fixed in the ceiling 4 meters high and it gives fine water particles which spreads more than a meter around. Absolutely no way to take a shower without wetting one's hair; the least one wants to have at 3 AM in an airport lounge is a head of wet hair with no hair dryer around.

The Oryx lounge is comfortable with a nice setting, especially on a long journey. The decor and lighting enables you to relax and there is plenty of refreshments and food to fill you up. The only downside is that it does get busy with people and so the noise level increases. Recommended if you are in transit for more than 3hr, otherwise just hang around in the airport and buy food from the cafes - saves you a lot money.

We had an 8 hour layover in Doha. We booked the lounge as we thought it would be more comfortable in there than out in the terminal. Every lounge I have been in has usually had an age restriction on it. Which I thought would be the case here, apparently not. From when we arrived at midnight right until we left at 6am there were screaming children, Usually I wouldn't mind if their parents were trying to calm them down. Obviously in this case they were not. After an uncomfortable flight from Singapore and with a another 7 hour flight ahead of us, screaming children was not the most pleasant thing to experience when you want to relax and rest.

I was very glad to have booked this lounge as without it my 5 hour stop over would have been very uncomfortable. The airport seemed exceptionally busy and there were queues at all of the W.C's. Inside the lounge, though fairly busy to beginning there was ample seating and some bed like seats in the room furthest from the enterance. There are 2 showers available to use and towels and shower gel are supplied. Plenty of soft drinks and tea and coffee are available along with a small selection of sandwiches, cakes and fresh fruit. Overall, my stop over at Doha International airport was much improved by the use of the Oryx Lounge, however I do have two small complaints. 1) On arrival we had to queue to get in, and once seen to our tickets and passports were taken from us for about 10 minutes whilst the booking was processed. 2) About 1.5 hours through our stay the lounge started to empty out, got a lot quieter and with that, maintanence started working on what looked like replacing the floor in the main lounge room, creating a lot of unnessecary noise. I don't know how often this happens but it was fairly disappointing that this happened on our stay.

I had a stopover of 8 hrs and was really glad that I booked the Oryx Lounge for 6 hours when I arrived in Doha in the late evening. There is a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere there and it is much more comfortable than hanging out in the airport area. You can enjoy food and drinks as much as you want while reading a book or being online (the only problem was that I had no adapter for the socket with me and so could not use my notebook :( ). There are some sleeping couches in lightly separated areas provided but unfortunately there were all occupied. But even sleeping in the lounge chairs is possible.

it provides a relief to travelers on long journeys. I recommend you to stay there for three hours. There are only few lounge chairs to sleep. This I consider a shortcoming of this lounge.
