The Oryx Lounge is well worth the 22 pounds it costs to get in when flying economy. I was concerned a bit given the previous reviews of loud kids running around disturbing folks. In my case it was a kid-free night. The facility is large, the staff efficient and the bathrooms spacious. I was there from 7 pm to 12:30 pm in April 2013. There is a plethora of outlets for electronics and I was able to find a quiet corner with little traffic going by near the buffet section at the back of the lounge. All the recliner chairs were occupied but that was not a problem. The internet worked well and was reasonably fast. The drinks were cold and plentiful as was the snack area. The peta bread was fresh and the hummus was also tasty. I guess the only issue I had was that I was so wiped out that when leaving I missed the exit and wandered around a bit. The exit is a sliding door that looks like a wall and if you see it closed you would normally walk right by it. Luckily, someone came in and I finally found my way out. I would certainly use it again, as the waiting areas outside the gates are crammed with transit passengers and very noisy. Flight information is posted inside the lounge. There are no voice announcements of flights and that was wonderful as it made the lounge even more accommodating. I would certainly use it again when flying though Doho economy class.

Very comfortable, alcoholic, drinks have to be requested and not a fabulous selection. Food was basic but tasty. Showers available. Could be more sleeping seats. Staff were courteous, nice atmosphere, free wifi and newspapers.

The service was very good, the staff were polite and very helpful. A good selection of light snacks on the buffet. Large variety of drinks. Chairs were comfortable, smoking room and toilets/shower were kept clean. My only criticism is that there was no-where to get some shut eye, the loungers were few in number and within earshot of the lounge, would be nice to have these in a separate room with less light. I had to stay in the lounge for 12 hours in the end and I would advise using it if you have a stop over of more than a few hours.

I would recommend your Oryx to anyone with a long waiting period between flights. It is cool quiet and comfortable with ample refreshments readily available. A very pleasing experience.

Customer service was fantastic, the showers were great, the lounge in general was very clean, tidy and comfortable. However, the snacks - especially the fish pate wraps need to be refrigerated and not just left under a plastic covering at room temperature. Would I use the lounge again? Definitely. Would I choose the fish pate wraps? Never again!

Due to a long delay with our connecting flight I made an online reservation for the Oryx Lounge at at total cost of £50. Due to the fact that we had a considerable delay firstly with our connecting flight and then due to changing the flight as a result of a technical fault we found the Lounge a better option than staying in the waiting area. I found the seating very,very uncomfortable and would have considered recliner chairs a much better option for comfort, The food was reasonable as we were very hungry and the lounge was very clean. The noise level was unacceptable as there was no controls in the Lounge, The attendants on the Desk at the entrance had a difficult job as a number of people were abusive and would not listen to instruction being given. I consider some form of security would be preferable in the Lounge area. I consider that Doha being a vital hub for Asia should have a lounge commensurate with the outstandig facility it provides in other areas of the airport. There are comfortable couches to sit and relax, it is quiet, very clean and has a permanent selection of snacks and drinks. There are a few recliners where the lights are dimmed but they are usually occupied. But given the fact that the rest of the airport is quite dirty and usually very busy, it is definitely worth it.

Busy lounge with lots of kids running wild. Food and drink is ok, but selection limited. Only good point is that its much better than trying to relax in the main airport.

Good value for the money. Not so much food to choose from. But is all ok.

Large lounge with multiple rooms and plenty of seating plus huge showers. Good food and free wifi. Great place to relax between flights and well worth the money to get out of the hustle and bustle of the terminal.

My Oryx Lounge experience was very good indeed. I had 11 hours to kill in Doha and the time I was able to be in the lounge made all the difference. I would certainly 'anti up' and visit again. There was a little confusion checking in when I arrived as I could not print out the admission document, but that was happily sorted quite quickly. The food was basic, but tasty, ample, and much appreciated. It would be nice to see a few more lounge/snooze beds installed as many spent the night in chairs. Recommended service.

Recliner chairs would be a very worthwhile addition to the facilities.

A comfortable and welcome rest area with adequate food and drink. The lounge would benefit from notices asking users to respect the comfort of others by not disturbing them during night hours. (i.e. not shouting across the rooms to one another and not running around.

I am more than satisfied, had 8 hour layout in Doha (00h - 08h)... I landed around midnight, and lounge was full, but(!) I had alreday ticket and was able to enter it. Nearby was some other passangers but lounge was full till 2AM morning and they stayed out. Excellent service, nice and clean shower, and a quiet place to sleep for a couple hours was more than good reason to try Oryx Lounge for the first time. Cold salat, sandwiches, sweets, cookies, a lots of drinks, alcohol including (saw couple guests drinking beer etc), so buffet was ok. Really to say, not too much choice, but what was in offer was more than tasty. I am more than satistfied, while the airport was full the people, and I didn't saw almost any quiet place...

Overall a good place to spend a few hours. Friendly service and good WiFi, but not enough outlets to recharge mobiles and laptops. Also a lack of recliners, so don't count on being able to sleep comfortably during your layover. A limited but tasty selection of food - hummus, tabouleh, sandwiches, fruits were all good - and an excellent selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages upon request. Shower facilities and towels available.

I had a 7 hrs transit in doha airport and after reading the reviews decided to get myself into the lounge to sleep for the night. Best choice ever! For showers u can get the towels from the staff. Cheers!

Good located. Between 12.00 - 01.00 AM very crowded, then much better. If you find free place, you can lie back and relax. Some people kept talking loudly as if they were in a pub, very annoying. Good selection of food and drink. Clean shower and toilet.

Our 7 hour stopover seemed to pass very quickly. Food & drinks were readily available & having Internet helped the time pass much quicker. We will certainly use the Oryx lounge again on our next flight through Doha

On long-haul flights with long stopovers, it is such a relief to find a comfortable, quiet place to sleep, read etc. The 'loungers' were full for my whole 6-hour stay, and I would have loved to lie down for a while. More of these would be a good idea perhaps.

Nice, clean and quiet with good service. Too few sleeper chairs though.
