Brilliant lounge and facilities especially when you have a long layover at Doha airport,

On our first flight we had quite a long layover so we booked a cheap hotel in town, but these aren't exactly cheap and we had to pay another 25$ or so for entry per person. So on our return flight we had something like 8 hours layover and went for the Oryx Lounge. We pre-booked for a 6hrs stay, not sure if the extra dough actually made a difference. From what we could tell, nobody ever checked anyone's ticket. We arrived around midnight and they were turning people around, telling them to come back in an hour or so. We were glad to have pre-booked it, but then it was indeed quite busy and nearly full. The lockers were all taken so we kept our bags with us, there's only like 12 of those. Same goes for the long chairs you can actually lie down in, less than 10 I believe. Which sucked. And people that got them aren't giving them away if they're done sleeping, I've seen half of those occupied by dudes playing games on their laptops and another just went around and showered leaving all his stuff on top. There aren't that many toilet either but they're kept clean. Anyway, after 1am or so, the place got really quiet, most people were gone so it was easy to pick a spot and lay our feet on the chair in front of us. Finding attendants in the middle of the night to get towels was a bit tricky but eventually it worked out. Food was quite nice. Plenty of stuff to drink, water, juices and some beer too if you asked. Sure beats sleeping in the main area! And considering I've been munching on stuff most of the 6-7hrs I stayed there and had plenty of fluids too, it's not a bad deal at all. Just don't expect a full deep-sleep rest.

We enjoyed our stay, even though there was not enough comfortable sleeping space. Shower facility was good and enough food provide. Would use it again.

A comfortable environment to while your transit time away. The only thing missing were a selection of chairs in which you could recline and sleep for a while. But worth it!

our only real problem was with the chairs. We found them uncomfortable after an hour. Back and head support would have helped - but then, people might go to sleep and miss their planes!

There are only a few comfortable seats to take a nap. Those are very popular and mostly taken, sometimes for a long time. If no other choice some take a nap in the chairs though pretty uncomfortable. And the staff does not really like it, they might wake one up. The air-conditioning is too cold, be well aware not to catch a cold!

The experience in the Oryx lounge was okay with respect to price. Nonetheless, the quality of the WiFi could be seriously improved, the buffet could provide a larger choice and the shower be cleaner.

I had a great time in there....plenty of room n food n drinks....they have computers to use which was nice as I was able to talk to family n friends letting them know I was good n all is okay....I enjoyed da idea taken a shower...they were very friendly I would tell anyone whos gonna have a layover in Doha to take full use of this lounge.....

Excellent, I arrived early in the morning and I could not find a place to sleep(the number of the sleeper seats are very limited). After a short period people started leaving and I was able to sleep and rest. Thank you for the exprience
