Arrival Procedure
Park outside the Airparks Services reception building and check-in, your car will be safely parked for you. You will be transferred to the on-airport multi-modal interchange which is connected to all Terminals via Travelators. You should allow 50 minutes for check-in and transfer to the airport.
Departure Procedure
On your return simply wait where you were dropped off and the 20 minute bus service will transfer you back to the car park. If you choose the Airparks EXPRESS service there is no need for a transfer, as your car will be brought to you at the terminal upon your return.
Transfer information
Regular transfers operate 24 hours a day. Transfers take approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Airparks now offers a NEW more frequent service to and from the Airport using the brand new transport interchange. Customers are delivered to, and picked up from the transport interchange from where there is easy access to the terminals using the high level covered walkways. By avoiding the congestion at and between the terminals Airparks now provides a more frequent service with shorter waiting times at the car park and at the airport. The interchange is ideal for those customers using terminals 1 and 2.
The car park's transfer buses also stop at Terminal 3, making it convenient for all passengers travelling through Manchester Airport.

PLEASE NOTE: If booking the Airparks EXPRESS service, your vehicle will be delivered to you at the airport terminal upon your return, eliminating the need for a transfer back to the car park and letting you get on the road quicker.
No motor homes, minibuses, lorries, caravans, trailers or other high sided vehicles are permitted even if multiple space are booked. Airparks are unable to carry bikes, surfboards, canoes or other large objects which do not fit on the luggage racks. We recommend that you use these directions in conjunction with an up to date map. Your car will be checked by Airparks staff and digital, time-stamped photographs will be taken of any marks or damage.
Directions to Airparks Handforth Dean
We recommend using the directions provided and an up-to-date map to locate the car park. Please be aware that satellite navigation systems vary and are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park.
- WARNING: Please refer to the directions below from Junction 3 on the M60 ringroad. Some online route planners may not lead you straight to our car park.
- FROM THE SOUTH: Exit M6 North at Junction 18 and follow A54 (Holmes Chapel). After approx 1.25 miles at double roundabout, follow A535 signposted Macclesfield. At Roundabout (after 6 miles), go straight on following signs for A535 Wilmslow & Alderley Edge. Follow A535 to END. At junction with A34, turn left onto A34. At roundabout follow A34 bypass Handforth M60. At 4th roundabout Take 1st exit Handforth Dean and Brooke Park Ind Est. At small roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Long Marl Drive. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit into Airparks site.
- FROM THE NORTH: M6 onto M61 then onto M60 and exit at Junction 3 onto A34 southbound. Stay on the A34 (ignoring all Airport signs) through one set of traffic lights and over 3 roundabouts. After 3rd roundabout follow slip road on the left signposted Handforth Dean Cars Only under the bridge below A34. At small roundabout take 3rd exit. The Airparks entrance is straight ahead.
- FROM THE WEST: Liverpool M62, follow M62 until it joins M60 following the signs for Manchester Airport and Stockport. Exit M60 at Junction 3 following signs for Cheadle & Wilmslow A34. Then follow directions 'from the North'.
- FROM THE WEST: Chester & North Wales, exit M56 at junction 6 A538 Wilmslow. Follow signs from Wilmslow into town centre. At T junction and traffic lights, turn left & go straight through next traffic lights to mini roundabout and turn right following A34 Manchester and Handforth Dean. At the roundabout take the first exit (left) onto A34 at Atlantic Ford, over 1 roundabout. At 2nd roundabout take the first exit signposted Handford Dean & Brooke Ind Est. At small roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Long Marl Drive. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit into Airparks.
- FROM EAST/NORTH EAST: Exit M62 at junction 18 onto M60 Manchester Airport and Ashton. Join M60 & exit junction 3 following signs for Cheadle & Wilmslow A34. Then follow directions 'from the North.'
- FROM EAST: Sheffield, A628 or A57, join M67 leading into M60, turn left onto M60 following sighs for Manchester Airport and Stockport. Exit junction 3 following signs for Cheadle and Wilmslow, A34. Then follow direction 'from the North'.

Both check-in staff and coach drivers were extremely courteous and helpful. We have used Airparks on a number of occasions and have never had cause for complaint.
There was a 25minute delay in being transferred to the airport, and although a bus was parked around the corner, we were made to stand outside on a very frosty morning. Fortunately it was not raining, otherwise we would have got very wet.
ver good only problem was the long walk to terminal 2 for elderly people
departure was good but possibly had to wait a bit too long to be picked up but that was only 30 muns realy it just felt longer because we were cold and the wife was poorly but we will poss use them again
only complaint i had was the mix up with the meet & greet service, we had to go up and down the multi storage car park, to try and find our car, we were told that it was going to be on the 12th floor, it was in the outside car park in the end. we had a problem trying to ring airparks to find out were the car was, as there is no network within the airport for mobile phones.
The only problem was there were not enough signs to the pick up point once we got back to the train station. everything else worked very well.
We only keep using this place because we have used it for years and know how to find it. It used to be excellent but we much prefer the service we get at other carparks when we fly from Prestwick, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle
We've used Handforth Dean several times now. The transfer bus frequency, and the actual journey to the airport is acceptable, given the price paid. What lets it down is the return pick-up arrangements, which leave a lot to be desired, The last two times now have involved lengthy delays in the cold, waiting for the bus. The 'gold service' always turns up first, and leaves many people to continue their wait when it leaves again. The pick up service is not as frequent as suggested. The office have a screen detailing the progress of landed aircraft, so they know very well when there are customers awaiting collection. I shall very likely look elsewhere when flying from Manchester again.
this is the 2nd time i have used Airparks and i will continue to use their services on all my flights out of Manchester airport... i have also recomend them to my family and friends
Dropping off the car and picking up the keys on return was quick and easy. The transfer to and from the airport was a pleasant experience with regular buses. The buses were of a high quality with plenty of room for luggage. A minor drawback was that the drop off/pick up point for Terminal 2 was a significant distance from Arrivals/Departures particularly when carrying heavy luggage.
The service and price were excellent.We flew from Terminal 2 and being fit and able the transfer to from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 was not a problem but i would have preferred an option of being dropped at Terminal 1 with an added cost if required.Is this something Airparks would consider?
Efficient service and a reasonable location. It is a pain that they drop you off at the Manchester airport railway station and you have to walk to your terminal. Then they try to sell you the meet and great option. But I did I happen to see one of their drivers 'parking' a vehicle. He shot round the car park (full of pot holes) like a rally driver sounding his horn. I hope they did not do that to my car.
I have always asked friends to take me to Manchester Airport or used a taxi . However Airparks were a refreshing change - the price is very competitive and makes it worthwhile taking your car. The transfer and services were excellent
almost missed flight on the way out as too far to walk with all our baggage and on arriving back we were at pick up by 3.20am and was not picked up until 4am.
excellent service - if it wasn't i wouldn't bother to review it at all, leta lone positively. I would use them again if i were flyong from manchester
Easy to locate your car on return, secure exit system. Make sure you get on the Handforth Dean coach on return as Airparks run two different coaches to two sites.
We found the carpark very easily with the directions given. The staff were very helpful when I realised I had lost my confirmation. It was effortlessly sorted out and we were quickly transferred to the Airport. On our return we went to where we were dropped off and the bus was there to pick us up. We were soon on our way home after picking up the car keys, the staff were very courteous and helpful, I would recommend this Airpark, first cloass srvice. Thank you
Check-in was easy when I had found the office (marked "key pick-up point). I telephoned for a "meet & greet" from Dubai & was told to just phone from the baggage hall on return to confirm. It appears that this message was not passed on to the "day shift" who knew nothing about the arrangement, however the car arrived promptly at the airport with courtesy after the phone call. The only negative comment was the car was obviously parked under a tree (for a month) with resin & bird droppings all over. A good car wash soon dealt with this. Very good I would use this service again
we have used the service at Handforth Dean many times - this year 1st June - coming back on the 15th June. Staff are always courteous, friendly, helpful and efficient. I would recommend this service to anyone, and I'll be using you again next year! Cheers Josie Batterley.
